I couldn't really lay those things at his feet as I've no idea if they're true, just going with what I've seen mate.

Think I was expecting him 100% to go ASAP, which makes it feel like it's dragging on. Annoying more than anything.

 

Postecoglou, meanwhile, spoke for the first time about £7 million stopper Christopher Jullien’s future — a week after a season-long loan to Schalke dramatically collapsed.

Ben David is awful, he was mince at Sheff Utd on loan, you just need to look at their forum.

Plus he wasn’t even trusted to start when there wasn’t any fit centre half’s at Liverpool, they played midfielders out of position instead.

 

Havnt seen him play since he went to Liverpool.
Thought he was decent at Preston but aye ur right, fact he couldn't get a game at Liverpool during their injury crisis is maybe a red flag.

 

Think the transfer window has opened and he's got a bit of a fright with the wages he's being offered. Fine with me if he leaves. Also fine with me if this give him a boot up the *, he gets back to his best and earns his pay packet with us for the next year. A CB pairing of CCV and Julien at his best could be good.

 

Need to get shot of him to bring in another cb it seems. Hopefully away sooner rather than later.

He was actually decent for the most part I thought but that at the end is criminal for a 6 foot 5 centre half..

As feeble an attempt as it gets and why he should 100% be improved upon..

Need someone with his stature who's more dominant and composed on the ball. He's nearly it but too immobile and doesn't have the heart..

 

I know there’s maybe not much to base this on but I just get the impression he’s desperate for a move and isn’t really giving a * just now.

See his pass in behind for Turnbull’s goal, that’s what we’ve been missing from the back. His ability on the ball with both feet is streets ahead of both Starfelt and CCV

 

Played a nice ball to Kyogo and thats about all he did.. Lost every challenge. Stiff and slow.

 

We definitely need someone who can comfortably pass out from the back. He did it a few time's when being closed down and popped it off fine..

We badly lack it and any real dominance back there at time's..

 

Whether Julien is good enough or not for us is irrelevant to me, he made a statement he wanted away. After not playing a full season where the Club helped him in his rehabilitation but taking a wage, he wants away, let him go, we only want players who want to be with us.

 

It’s an extra dimension that we lack, which is a shame because we generally have tremendous movement up top we could easily exploit.

Painfully slow, would probably still do a job in a good league for a team that sits back but hope he's gone before the real stuff starts. Would have him behind Welsh and Lawal at this point.

 

Despite everything that's gone on, I wouldn't be surprised if he's still with us at the start of next season. He signed for £7m and I can't see the board putting up money for a new CB until he's sold. On top of that, after being left out the squad for months, he's suddenly in the training squad and getting pre-season games. Probably he wants away and Ange wants him away, but I don't see many teams coming in for a player that's been out for a year with injury. I reckon he'll be our third CB next season.
