Would be disappointing if we dont get him in so much that he's seems to be one of Anges top targets; I believe Ikatura was too - Im more worried that Ange could become slightly unsettled if he feels we are missing out on the top targets he has identified

 

Really need to move on, this is ripping the carrot big time now.

He's no mug though, he knows the reality of the size of the club and the stature of the club in the modern game. He will know we aren't gonna always get our first choice.

What will be the bigger worry, hypothetically, is if we are the ones dragging our feet, or we aren't actively working on alternatives.

But considering how we've operated since Ange has came in, specially with Nicholson to date, I would imagine we aren't the ones dragging our feet. So, so long as we are actively looking elsewhere and keeping things open, I'm sure big Ange is smart enough not to let one signing saga unsettle him.

Yes I agree Ange is wise enough to know missing out on the odd player is nothing unusual; just so long as it doesnt become a re-occurring theme - We have had managers in the past that have become disgruntled with the boards failure to back them with the type of players that could take us to the 'next level'

 

I don’t think this is down to the club, if the player doesn’t fancy the SPL there’s nothing we can do about it. Ange can’t complain about how well he has been backed

 

My prediction: this agent will * up any move for Souza, because we must not be the only ones with plans and a time frame for them. He can't make his mind up- boom, everyone walks away.

 

It is a weird position to be in cause we dont desperately need a dm but it would take us to the next level
