See Ayase Ueda is being linked with a move to Cercle Brugge for between £650k- £1.3m at that price we should be all over that for another attacking option.

The guy links play well and is lethal in and around the box.

Top scorer right now according to Transfermarket...looks on track to blitz the 14 league goals he had last season from 29 games.

He's currently on 18 games and 10 goals in the league.

23 years old but only thing is he seems solely utilised as a center forward...and with the way he's going and at his age...he probably won't want to be playing 3rd choice behind Kyogo and Giakoumakis.

He seems like he'd be a good shout but not sure he's needed really.

Curious as I had a random thought that there is a possibility that for the most part...McGregor could be the only Scottish player in our starting 11 for most of the season with rotation of guys like Turnbull and Ralston and Taylor as well with the reported new guy coming in for LB

Is there any homegrown talent that is worth looking at bringing into the club within the league? I don't feel like there is personally...but as backwards as it would be...should be not have more Scottish talent capable of being in the first 11?

Won't be the first time that's the case, back in the MON era we often had a majority non Scottish first team squad.

Right now there's is not really any Scots I'd say would get into our first team outside if what we have (ignoring KT, Roberson, maybe McGinn) Armstrong and McTominay would fit in the team but wouldn't be locked in every game players, same with Ryan Fraser although he's not been half the player since going to Newcastle. Gauld is alright but hard to judge, plus he was not up to it when he was at Hibs on loan.

Ramsey would have been good but would not have been a smart way to spend the cash as we had the depth there, Ferguson meh, he'd fit as a squad player but I'd like better even ignoring the Hun connections, same with Gilmour, Connor Barron looks decent but would be squad not first team, Doig would be squad to compete with Taylor but I'd say Taylor is better, Hickey would probably have made it as a first team

Not even going to talk about wingers or strikers there are none.

We have a good cadre of Scottish players, we will still have 3/4 in the full team plus others at u21 etc. We need to have our youth pathways in but they don't strictly have to be Scottish to be homegrown just have come through the academy at the club and in the same association to count.

Players you've not mentioned like Welsh, Bain, Murray, Forrest, Moffat, Brooks etc all count to it and some will be key squad members others may be loaned out.

What I want to see is that pathway from.the colts and that to turn to appearances for the standouts there this season.

If we were looking for a youngish centre back, we really could do a lot worse than Becir Omeragic. Into his final year of a 5 year contract. 20 years old, just won the Swiss League with FC Zurich. Would be cheaper than Thiaw.

Ange is clearly waiting for the right players this summer.

I feel we could still do with another striker and with Jullien/Biton/Scales away another 2 possibly for centre half.

The talk of the German guy surely isn’t a goer, if we pull it off that is the Ange effect.

I’d like all of the new signings to be involved heavily in the upcoming fixtures so I’d still be looking for deals to be completed in the coming week of two.

Coming round to the idea of Jordan Larsson.

Been watching footage of him and he's actually a very talented player and can play anywhere across the front 3.

I don't think it'll happen but now I really want it to. Both for nostalgia and also genuine football reasons.

This time 18 months ago he was out our price range mate, probably even 12 months ago.

If we go for him it’s not because of Henrik, it’s because it makes sense. He grew up supporting us majorly, he knows what the demands are and he is talented. If he wasn’t released from Spartak and under 2 years more contract or something like that, do you think we could afford buying him? I don’t.

Or for what he’d cost, it’d not be worth it.

He’s available, he suits the style, plays in a position we need to reinforce, he knows the club and the demands. It feels like something that’s fortuitously been viable with circumstances aligning. Much like us getting Rodgers, that was just perfect circumstances, would never be viable at any other time.

    Agree with all of that.

I think someone like Lennon would have pushed for it, but not sure if Ange will. Time will tell.

According to @Luz1904 both these guys free to leave Benfica.

Embalo in particular looks ideal to compete with Abada and Forrest wide right. Also seems to be relatively two footed?

Matias Vecino has only played 17 games for Inter last season. An offer of first team football should be made to him. Inter may be willing to loan or even sell.

    Just seen that. Playing England..

    Beat France in the semi's..

Can tell they’re an up and coming nation quite a lot of good player's coming out of there now. Solomon and then Abada the next young talents and a lot of quality up front particularly..

Partnered with Rúben Dias (now at City) for a season and a half. Started very well and their play styles connected really well. Ferro is a ball playing defender. Unfortunately had a steep decline at some point. Speculating but seemed like he could not handle the mental aspect of the game. He is a bit soft as well.

Ferro rejected to stay 1 more year in Hadjuk and is in the market.

Sounds like the first one would be a disaster at us then, we’re good at * destroying timid players :56:

Still absolutely desperate for us to try and get Denayer back in on a bosman. 27 at his peak now, is far better now than he was when at us as a youngster, would be superb next to CCV and he’s on a free.
