Seen this said a few times, but I don’t think the fact he never got a chance once he was fit is telling. He didn’t get fit until after Xmas. By then, we had a settled partnership, and we were neck and neck with the huns. It’s not really a position where you can chop and change, and trying to form a new partnership half way through the season when it was unnecessary would have been stupid.

I don’t think he will be here at the end of the window, but him not getting a game last season when he got back fit wasn’t surprising in the slightest for me.

 

Can't quite remember the game he came on - perhaps the cup against Raith Rovers - but he looked really poor for someone pushing to get into the team and supposedly fit.

 

Aye he didn’t look sharp at all. Hardly surprising given the length of time he was out to be fair. Centre half isn’t a position where you usually bring someone on for 20 minutes here and there either. Unless one of CCV or Starfelt picked up and injury, then Jullien was never going to get a run of games given how the league was going.

 

He played against the huns B team month's later and was even worse mate. Was painful to watch..

 

Aye I mind of that as well. I’m no a huge fan of his to be honest. A threat from set pieces no doubt, which is something we lack. His passing is poor I think though, and he is far too easily roughed up, which only makes him worse. Which is one of Starfelt’s plus points I feel. He can clear his head quickly. I wouldn’t have Jullien ahead of Starfelt.

 

Definitely doesn't have a future here and will be gone when his contract expires next summer at the very latest.

He's a top earner and isn't contributing. I loved him but it's best for him to move on for his career.

 

Sounds to me like he is basically telling the board he is going to see out his contract, so we have to make a deal to partially pay out his remaining contact and let him go for nothing, or be stuck with him when it's fairly obvious he isn't in Ange's plans and so isn't likely to contribute much.

I think one way or another he will be gone sooner rather than later.

 

He also barely made the bench once fit, and pre injury he was better than Welsh.

 

Julien wants to fight for the Celtic Jersey in that picture of him training with the club badge. So I support him in doing so.
