Same mate, I feel like there’s very few prospective signings that we could get that could talk to Ange and not want to immediately be here and do the best they could for him.

For years I’ve ignored transfer rumours and not looked into guys until they’re here because it’s so scattergun and guesswork.


This guy but, I’m all in. I’m desperate for it to happen.

 

Apparently Ange had given the guy personal assurances of playing time and the standard of the league....... only took an ange phonecall to convince hatate and juranovic to join. Here's hoping

I don't believe it personally. Ange might call a player and tell them what he thinks he can do for them and what they can do for us and where he sees them in the team but no chance is he phoning them up to sell them on this club or the league. No chance. You don't want to be here? No problem, we will look elsewhere.

 

Not sure about that, he might be majorly positive about the club itself and playing here, with a few reservations about the level of the league, I can imagine Ange reassuring in that sort of case.

 

Can't see that myself mate. Everything I have seen of Ange, he has made it quite clear. Don't want to come here or have reservations? That's fine, you're not the type of player we want here. I have no doubt he has phoned him to get in touch and try and seal the deal but I don't think Ange is trying to sell anything about Celtic to anyone. Basically said that about the McGree signing.

 

If it’s to be believed and City recommended he come to Celtic, then there should be no problem with the player’s concern about the level of the league.

 

The problem is- without the option to buy Souza, he'd be spending a lot of energy on a player that might be here for one year and no more.

Mind you, I like this kind of approach. Showing a player you see them as integral to your plans.

 

If they don’t want to be at the club, yes, reservations I don’t think he’s said that at all.

And it’s something we need to do to better higher rated players, Ange isn’t daft.

 

Need him to get in the same room as Ange for 10 minutes.

 

If he's quality it doesn't matter we could sign guys and lose them after a year now if they're that good.

Seems actually like they think he is really good but he's too unproven for someone to spend proper money on him and if they loan him to a better/bigger team now then next summer they will probably be able to sell him for double.

 

We play about 60 games a season, * sure he will have game time... not a hard thing to promise in fairness if he's any use ha

 

Has anyone ever actually confirmed that we actually want him? ( Celtic I mean not the fans haha ) or is it just media driven rumour? Definitely sounds like he would be Ideal for us.

 

I mean, Bernebei is a media driven rumor too and it’s happenin. Celtic confirm nothing until they announce the player

 

Psv say they would only go after souza if they lose sangare. So if true hopefully that'll be them out of the running

 

I think Sangare will go. Man Utd will be interested, especially on a limited budget and he’s cheap enough at £30m for them.

 

Man utd are going after Edison Alvarez at Ajax instead as the cheaper option
