    The thing is there is always a risk with transfers particularly when the fee is likely very high for us. However this guy gives of the impression that he could really standout in the CL for us and easily multiply his value in a season.

    It’s all ifs but Souza signs for Celtic and stands out against a couple of elite clubs in CL then most outside of the top few in EPL would be keen.

    For CFG a selling point could be a % of profit on any sale as they saw it work well with Frimpong. That might be able to get our initial fee down therefore cutting the risk.

    CCV signing has tided me over for now, massive.

    Jota will be next. Fully expect our business to be concluded by mid July for the most part, with us spending the remaining time seeing if anything becomes available that we cant say no to.

    Benefits of having UCL secured.

    Just googled him and this is the first thing that came up. Off topic, but he's working with Hertha BSC now, and his role sounds really interesting. Makes me think Ange might bring him in here?

    I thought Ange would originally bring him here over the likes of Kewell but seems happy with the Hertha gig so can't see it happening. One of the Aussie guests on a podcast a while ago spoke about Ange signing him in a bit of detail, trying to find it but it was quite interesting perspective on how Ange goes about his transfer business.

    Ange took his family on a pretend holiday to Germany just to sign him and demanded Brisbane break their salary cap at the time for this one player. It makes me think that if Ange really wants Souza more than anyone else then he'd have no problem asking the board to spend big in a one off circumstance.

    Celtic interested in Brazilian Vinicius Souza
    Celtic are interested in Brazilian defensive midfielder Vinicius Souza but face stiff competition from a number of clubs across Europe.

    The 22-year-old currently plays for Belgian side Lommel SK, who are owned by the City Football Group, and has been attracting interest from the likes of PSV, Fenerbahce, Club Brugge and Bologna.

    It’s understood the player wants to play in Europe next season, but has some reservations about moving to the Scottish Premiership.

    However, he is keen to take time to explore all his options. PSV made a formal approach to Lommel earlier this week.

    Celtic are in the market for a defensive midfielder, after allowing Nir Bitton to leave this summer.

    PSV would be a worry. Have 2-3 Brazilians on their books already and a history of famous Brazilians playing there.

    Ibrahim Sangare is being linked with a move away too.

    They are in the qualifiers that The Opposition are playing in. But I don’t think they are seeded if they make the playoff round.

    Think between those clubs he'd choose Brugge, In the CL groups and would probably pay a higher wage than PSV. They have also been very good at getting these kind of signings in developing them and selling for big money in recent years

    Its why a loan would make more sense. I really cant see us shelling out another £5m+ after the CCV fee and imminent arrival of Jota.

    We still have to add in other positions as well.
