    Like i said if we can blow millions on * like Barkas, Ajeti, Boli ect then it would be criminal not to pay 6-7m.

    If we sign him we could look to get 2 great years out of him and he'd still be prime for a fantastic move around the age of 25.

    Getting him in could be season changing....for a season that hasn't even started yet.

    I watched Itakura today. Him and Yoshida got absolutely ragdolled by the big man up front for Tunisia. He absolutely bullied the both of them. Think Dykes vs Julien on steroids. They could not cope with him.

    What I would say is. £19m net spend there. You’d think we were able to at least get £4m/£5m in player sales and significant salaries of the wage bill. So £14m net spend, with 2 high rated loan signings with have options to buy for £8m and £4m?

    Get it done Celtic.

    Yeah… to be honest, it wasn’t like Itakura was at fault for any of the goals. The second one is a Yoshida mistake and the 3rd one is a * peach of a finish. Just in the general game, they struggled to cope with the physicality of the big guy up front. Googled him and he’s a 30 year old striker from Odense BK so it’s not like he’s setting the world alight in club football.

    Money shouldn't be a stumbling block. We knew we had a rebuild job so I'm assuming there was money set aside for 2,3 or 4 transfer windows. We now have the unexpected bonus of CL cash.

    We have a fair bit of deadwood to clear as well which will bring in some funds and free up wages.

    We need quality especially in midfield as I do fear for us in the Champions League without that bit of dig in the centre of the park

    It’s easy to say that now, but there’s no guarantee that Souza would settle here and live up to expectations. In a year’s time we could be looking at him as a complete waste of big money.

    Personally I think he looks the part and it’s more likely that if we signed him on loan with an option to buy, he’d be immense and we’d end up losing him next summer, so he’s definitely one I’d like us to push the boat out for. I’m just glad we have a manager we can trust to make the right decision.

    Yeah loan to buy has it advantages, but the torture of waiting to see if we can lock down CCV and Jota is/has been excruciating. I’d definitely want to push the boat out on this one if we can’t afford it now, if we can’t afford it now then at least a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
