Japan national team FW Kyogo Furuhashi (Celtic / Scotland) responded to the media on the 30th.

Japan national team who lived with Spain national team and Germany national team in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group E. In June, under the title of skill test, Furuhashi said, "We can fight against good opponents as a team, so we would like to discuss and express the soccer we want to play first. I want to play a game that will lead to winning the World Cup. " He went on to say, "I don't know how much I can play because I think that visible results will be important for me, but if I do, I want to score points so that the team can win."

Furuhashi, who joined Celtic last summer, scored his first goal against the Europa League (EL) qualifying round 3 against Jablonec, which was the club's first starting lineup. From the middle to the end of the season, there was a time when he repeatedly left the front line due to injury, but he scored 20 goals in the official game and looked back on the season that contributed to achieving the double crown of the domestic league and the league cup. But it's been a fun year. It seemed like a long time, and it ended in a blink of an eye, so it was very fulfilling, but I think there are many challenges. I realized that I still have to grow. " He added, "As I played the game, I felt that my strengths were being applied. The reason I scored goals is because many players are connecting to the front of the goal. I'm just getting a pass and scoring a goal in a position where I can decide, so I'm grateful for the support of those around me, "he said.

In the Japanese national team, there are many players who have the same speed as themselves, such as FW Daizen Maeda and FW Takuma Asano, but Furuhashi said, "It's a strike-through, a bargain in front of the goal, and a sense of smell to the goal. I think that is my strength, so I would like to express that. There are many good players, and I hope we can work hard with each other. The rest is a goal because it is a forward. I want to keep it. " Also, "To be honest, I want to go crazy (to the World Cup). Since I decided to participate in this tournament, I also have a chance, so I want to go even if it is not true, and I want to play," said W for the first time. He talks about his thoughts on participating in the cup.

They seemed to quite enjoy it, especially the Irn Bru. Should have given them some black pudding though.

Seems like he did well all things considered.
Was that considered Japan's close to best 11?

It seemed on the older side then I thought it would be as I thought they had a good host of young players breaking in.

For the most part Japan just put 11 men behind the ball all game and looked for anything on the counter. I don't think any of their forwards were going to thrive the way they played today.
