It's mad how different this all could have been had he left when he should have which for me was after the treble treble or even when it went * up last year but no he clung on and sniped at the support whilst brown nosing the board who had hung him out to dry.

The hun media will be loving this thread. it's exactly the kind of thing they like to provoke. Imagine the shoe were on the other foot and the huns turning massively on Mccoist with the media stoking it up at every opportunity. They have the perfect guy in Neil Lennon to play with. Now they managed to turn things around so he really is bringing it on himself.

At this point he's not doing us or the club any harm so it's time to ignore his ramblings and get on with enjoying the way things have turned out.

Remember they've tried the same thing with Henrik Larrson and the Europa final. Fortunately they didn't get the anticipated reactions to that. Imagine Lennon said the same thing:56:

Nah, but close enough for me.

On protests, he said it serves no purpose(us expressing our frustration) and basically wanted us not to voice our opinions.

He's went on since to berate the fans and call us entitled. He isn't "one of us"

Definitely still some heat between Lennon and Sutton. I was at the legends event last night and Sutton made a comment about Neil.

What did he say? Or if you don't want to quote directly actually I get that.

I was at one a few months back and no videoing etc allowed for obvious reasons.

I could be wrong but I'm guessing Lennon hadn't heard of him and was just informed he can have a young Australian prospect for 400k who he isn't obligated to use right away, it wasn't like he would block the move

Him describing Tom Rogic as a mercurial type of player is brilliant. Rogic was at his best under Rodgers and then Ange. He was * under Lennon, never got a sniff at the start, and he tried to punt him years later to Dubai or someshit.

    He's a parody at times.

Personally I never read any of these opinion pieces but going by this thread it seems a lot of people do.

What makes so many people that don't want to read what he says actually go and read it:43:

This * constantly running his mouth trying to advise Ange what he should and shouldn’t do would have been like Ronny going to the record every other week with tips for Rodgers when he was here.

Would be quite easy for him to say, if asked, that he has moved on now and only wishes to speak about his current team. But nah, he’s constantly telling us what we need, how he’d rather be 2nd in the league, blaming this person or that person for his failures.

If folk were continually bumping this thread having a dig at him you’d be saying move on, but him constantly speaking about Celtic is why he gets such a hard time.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, I just don't get some òf the hatred on here. Folk making up things he's meant to have said and trying to run down his achievements at the club to fuel their dislike of him.

As the banner that flew at celtic Park for seasons said, the guy is celtic to the core.

As soon as he signed for celtic, the death threats began, costing him his international career. Lesser men would have * off back to England but he stayed and helped shine a light on the bigotry, the anti Catholic, anti Irish racism in Scotland, and not just at ibrox. Not only did he stay but he fronted the * up and for that alone he will always have my respect.

Last season was a disaster, no doubt, but there were many causes, not just our managers. Sometimes you've just got to hold your hands up and say sevco were the better team but I doubt if they'll be able to repeat it.

    Anyway, just my opinion.

He is tiresome but he will be getting asked questions about Celtic from the smsm and he is answering them, I doubt he is going out of his way to talk about us or I hope so at least. He would be best just not answering them and moving on

Celtic to the core? The guy would still be here running us to the ground if it was up to him.

The results on the park last season are the least of my concern. If that were the only issue I’d have been thrilled.

His attitude towards the people who have stood by him over the years, not to mention made him a millionaire, was * scandalous, and he deserves every single bit of hate he is getting.

Note how Tony Mowbray doesn’t get the hate he is getting? Both had horrific seasons in charge. Spot the difference.

His press conference alone upon returning from Dubai is arguably the most unprofessional act I’ve ever seen from a manager. The guy is a grade A walloper. * him x100.

Has he ever claimed to be ‘Celtic to the core’? Pretty sure it’s either Liverpool or Nottingham Forrest he said he supported in his autobiography.

If people are going to hate on him, then they need to be consistent and also hold the suits to account for their part in last season.

Either way, he should never have been appointed but the hatred the support had for Rodgers allowed it.

The board hung him out to dry last season everyone and their granny could see it but he still backed them to the hilt and slated the support he clung on for his pay off which is his right but he went about everything the wrong way and continues to do so.

The last bit about Rodgers is miles off it when Rodgers left Lennon as interim was the obvious appointment til the end of the season that's where it should've ended walking out Hampden when he was appointed was a total mood killer about 80% of the support didn't want him full time
