Some amount of sitters missed that he laid on a plate.

If we sharpen up our finishing his numbers will be scary.

Not saying his pace, strength, shooting is a weakness but imagine those aspects of his game improved further, he'd be scary scary good

Celtic have been handed a major boost in their chase of Jota on a permanent deal.

The winger has been outstanding for the Hoops during his loan spell this season.

He has notched 13 goals and the same number of assists in his maiden campaign in Scotland which has prompted fans to beg their club to sign him up.

Any deal will cost around £6.5million but Ange Postecoglou has already expressed his desire to keep the player.

And now his manager at parent club Benfica, Roger Schmidt, has reportedly told the player he is not in the German's plans for the upcoming season.

That gives Celts fresh hope that they'll be able to land the attacker who is enjoying his time in Glasgow.

Football Scotland understands the player and his representatives have been in conversation with Celtic about a full-time move for some time but negotiations were slower simply to allow both parties to concentrate on winning the Scottish Premiership.

But things could ramp up now that the season is over and both want a deal done.

It is believed Jota has admirers down south in the English Premier League with Wolves one club believed to be interested.

But the player has enjoyed his time in Glasgow and is likely to stick around

Celtic expect to make the signing of Portuguese wing king Jota permanent this week.

The 23-year-old star’s representatives are due to hold a final round of talks that should seal his £6.5million move from Benfica.

Jota has been a key figure in Ange Postecoglou ’s Double-winning side, netting 13 times in a memorable season.

Celtic signed Jota on-loan from Benfica in the summer but with an option to buy.

They have now exercised that right and have all but agreed personal terms which will see his move to Glasgow become a permanent one.

They have now exercised that right and have all but agreed personal terms which will see his move to Glasgow become a permanent one.

Celtic are also edging close to a similar deal with defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.

He is on-loan from Tottenham Hotspur but Celtic also have the option to buy him for £6 million.

Record Sport revealed earlier this week that Carter-Vickers had agreed terms with Celtic over a permanent move.

It was now left between Celtic and Spurs to get a deal done before the clause deadline.

The Celtic breakdown of how Champions League qualification has taken club from Euro paupers to princes in two years***********

It is expected Celtic will sign both as Postecoglou has indicated he sees both as key figures.

Celtic has also been boosted by automatic entry to the group stages of the Champions League.

Postecoglou has now left his recruitment team to work on options with a left-back, central defender and another centre forward on his wanted list.

Nice touch having his agent fly in from Lisbon to celebrate the anniversary of the Lions’ victory tomorrow.

From the heat of Lisbon to Celtic, welcome Jota :fear:

Noticed the same thing and it was also evident in Abada’s season highlights. It’s scary to see that if we sharpen up our finishing we will go to new levels. It’s also important for our chances in the CL that we take our chances more often.

Was waiting for this video to come out and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Lucky I had a box of tissues next to me while I was watching :smoke:
