To be fair when we beat them to Giakoumakis, they’d just been relegated and now they’ve just been promoted back to the Bundesliga.

If that’s the level of offer in Germany though, it would go down to the lad’s ambition. Come play Champions League and win trophies at Celtic, or have a relegation battle in Germany.

 

An attacking midfield option within our budget would be Zian Flemming. He’s 23 an ex Ajax youth and scored double digit goals for a team facing relegation both seasons.

He is a physically strong player as well as technically sound and good in aerial duels at 6’1.

They were interested in Soro in January so maybe could do a deal to get shot of him too.

Would bite your hand off for Ko Itakura. Tidy on the ball, can run out of the back line with it, likes a tackle, can play in the 6. Were linked last year and he’s probably been mentioned a few pages ago somewhere with the reports coming out that Schalke may not be able to afford him. While starfelt and ccv both had good seasons last year we need another good cb for rotation. The fact he can play dm is a bonus.

 

I bumped the Thread from last year. I am defo on your side with regards to him. He was their star man this season. Big presence and affordable. Schalke got till mid june to trigger the buy-out clause of 5.5mil€

 

Jesus! By that report (no idea how solid it is!) he sounds * brilliant for us!

 

Likewise but have read Target Scouting Reports before and they have been pretty good.

Also he has been delivering for the last two seasons at a poor side in Eredivisie but he has the pedigree of being an Ajax academy player.

I was particularly drawn to the fact he is physical and good in the air as well as being technically sound. He was someone I was aware off at the end of last season, as he had a good year then too, that’s why I read the report in the first place.

He would be well within our price range and as I mentioned they were the team close to taking Soro in January so you never know if a deal could be done there to bring his price down further.

 

He looks a player to be fair, would imagine one of the bigger Dutch teams would snap him up off the back of the two season he has had.
Would be a decent alternative to Solbakken if we didnt get him as it looks as if he can play out wide as well.
I see O’Reilly being the replacement for Rogic though. He is too talented for us not to put our faith in him.

Unsure as to how accurate those “who scored” TOTS are. The SPL one had Morelos and Boyce up front ahead of Kyogo and finished on 10/04/22

Filipe Soares. Signed for PAOK in January but like the look of him. Wouldn't mind us looking at someone with a similar style.
