But Abada also gives huge credit for his quick acclimatisation to his new surroundings to compatriot and Celtic teammate Nir Bitton, who once described Abada as a 'little boy'.

That he may still be, but he seems to have an old head on those young shoulders, and he was keen to ensure that Bitton received the thanks he was due for the ‘big brother’ role he has played in mentoring and looking after him, without which he doubts he would have been able to hit the ground running as he has.

“I want to thank the fans, the coaches and particularly Nir,” Abada said.

“Nir has become like a big brother to me. When I came here he made sure I had everything I need. On top of being a really good player, he’s a top human being

Nir and his family have really helped me settle in Glasgow. I can’t explain how much he’s helped. He even cooks for me. I’m not sure about washing my clothes, but he’s really done a lot.

“It was difficult coming here at first as a young player. But I am a footballer who has a dream and I want to improve.

I like the guy.....but dont want him anywhere NIR the starting line up on Sunday. His temperament is getting worse and you can just feel when he's going to get sent off.

He should be in control of the music in the dressing room cause apparantly he knows how to put a good Beat On.

Dont ask....just woke up in a weird mood this morning

What's the story with Bitton? Seemingly he's done for the season. Ange comments last week were a bit odd too

I've not seen it but did read an interview earlier in the season where he said he wants to go back to Israel with his family at some point. I think this title will be his swansong.

Think so too. He's not played the amount of games he'd probably have liked this season but he can be more than happy with his contribution if he goes.

Defo he’s been reliable player over many years. Fair play to him. Hopefully doesn’t unsettle wee Abada though is what springs to mind

Would be promising signs if he’s leaving.

It’s time to take the back-up options up a level from Bitton, Ralston, Welsh etc.

He’s been a good player over the years. If he’s leaving then I wish him all the best.

Should have gone about 3 year ago.

He will be on a decent wedge. Wish him and his family the best.

He's stepped up various times this season, and I wouldn't be throwing a tantrum if he's given a new contract, but I think it's the right time to go. We need to sign a proper CDM this season and I think Ange views Ideguchi as the back-up.

Definitely need more mobility in there.

Hopefully get a quick, energetic, defensive minded midfielder, that can pass the ball well consistently.

Someone you know you’ll get a 7/10 worst case each week.
