Just got to wait and see.

Nothing will be announced till the summer. I'd imagine both players will still go back to their respective clubs to begin with.

Wont be stupid money but probably more than we’d be willing to pay, I imagine if we sign them they’ll be getting £30-35K per week each plus bonuses on top. Which is still a bargain really.

I really hope we get him signed up. You don't get quality like that for £6m. It's a no risk signing as he has already proven he fits in here.

Maybe I’m way behind on this but I’ve never felt there was any issues with this and I don’t think wages will be a stumbling block.

I think he’ll get a good offer from us but nothing completely mind blowing.

I don’t think any other serious offers will come in for him from anywhere. Someone might offer him more money but I don’t think it would be a huge amount more and it would likely be a * opportunity like that McGree at Middlesbrough.

I think the only way it doesn’t go through is if we make a pitiful offer, which I don’t think we will.

CCV I am less confident about. I doubt he’s on megabucks at Spurs but I could see him getting a big offer from someone else which he would probably take - fair play if he does. The English market is just difficult, full stop.

Does the option to buy work like that? Id imagine its only live for the duration of the loan?

    • Winner for the first away win. Huge game that stopped us going 8 behind early doors.

    • 90th min assist against Dundee Utd after going down to 10 men. That goal was massive just after Rangers dropping points. One of the, if not the biggest goal of our league campaign.

    • 2 goals away to Aberdeen in a tough game to keep the run going.

    • Big goal against County to kill game off after a slightly nervy second half only leading by 1. A draw that day would’ve opened the door a tiny bit.

    • Sunday’s goal v Rangers also a huge goal in the grand scheme of things. Put to bed any chance of a title fight back.

9 goals and 9 assists in the league. 2 goals and 2 assists in the Europa League groups stage. Scottish cup assist and a league cup goal too.

A fantastic seoson to date, and a contribution that will never be forgotten regardless of what happens in the future.

    Great post, mate :50:

Wingers get a rough time with our fans sometimes. For me Jota is as good as we've had in that position for a long, long time. So talented, proper consistent apart from maybe 6 or 7 games this year.

He's been as important as anyone to this title win. I'd * love it if he signs permanently.

Yeah. Had a few quiet games when he came back from injury but some folk made out he hadn’t kicked a ball since January. Has 4G/7A since injury. 11 contributions in 14 starts and a few sub apps. Would be unreal if we kept him he’s only young and going to improve.

I've always wondered about these things in the past.
Sometimes we hear about hold ups as we "thrash out terms" with the clubs, but surely in these circumstances, the terms would be thrashed out previously? Or better yet, if there is a legal contract that we offer £6.5million, then they have to accept it, sell on fees or not?

Glasgow's Celtic contracted with Benfica a purchase option for the pass of Jota, a 23-year-old forward loaned by the eagles earlier this season, and, A BOLA knows, the Scots have already made a decision on the subject: they will really go ahead with this option, which will involve the payment of 7.5 million euros to Benfica, for only 70 percent of the young forward's pass.

Celtic is practically assured of winning the championship and, yesterday, after UEFA confirmed the exclusion of Russian teams, it was equally certain that the Scottish champions will have direct entry to the group stage of the next Champions League. Glasgow deciding to invest in the Benfica player. Celtic have already made their intentions reach Benfica and have already started contract negotiations with the player.

If with SAD incarnated for a long time the terms of the possible deal were agreed, now it remains to convince Jota to remain in Scotland.

Despite still sharing some opinions in Scottish football, Jota is having a very good season (see related news). He has 12 goals and 12 assists, in 37 games played, and has been a key player in a championship that Celtic is close to conquering.

Jota has a contract with Benfica until the summer of 2024
