He'd make a very good 6 wouldn't he as well..

Good defensively. Presses well. An eye for a pass..

 

Fitness/mobility seems to be his biggest issue so far so I could see him moving into that position a bit further down the line.

Top, top player though, all the attributes to make it to an elite level. Once he gets a few seasons of top-level football under his belt he will be an absolute monster.

His fitness will improve and maybe so can his mobility a touch..

We've got a serious player on our hands. Definitely think he could play that deep sitting role well. McGregor and say Hatate just infront provides a lot of leg's and energy in the 8's..

 

Would like to see what O'Riley can do in the 6 with the mobility of McGregor and Hatate infront of him aswell. If we wrap the league up on Saturday I wouldn't mind if Ange experimented a bit for the last 2 games. Although I think O'Riley is on record saying he hates playing in the 6 role lol

Would like everyone to get an early break but with us no being able to officially wrap it up until Tannadice, means they'd only get flag day at home to Motherwell....and I'm sure Ange will want them all to get the recognition with game time..

Yeah haha it was one of his earliest interviews when he joined. Said something along the lines he preferred being further up the pitch getting involved in attacks at MK Dons but played in the 6 when required and didnt enjoy it lol

True. In retrospection it wouldn't surprise me if Ange kept playing at full strength until flag day. And in all fairness those bhoys have earned it to see things through.

 

I'm not sure. Will try and find the interview but i thought he was talking about MK Dons at the time.

 

Aye was definitely the Dons he was talking about. They had Scott Twine who was also playing further forward in the 10.

As has been said, has to be ahead of Rogic in the pecking order next season.

Hmm. In the presser he really trying not to slip up and speak like we'd already won the league, but you could tell he was thinking it. Would have rather heard him speak determinedly about how we still need to get the points to win it.

 

Not his best game but could have had a hattrick and made some nice defensive contributions.

Shot off the post was a cracker and very unlucky, but got his goal in the end.

Him, Reo and Maeda have only been here little while but all have been really crucial after the winter break and onwards to the title.

 

Meanwhile Boro are losing 4-1 to Preston and McGree seemingly having an all time stinker of a game. We managed to dodge a bullet and at the same time land one of the best players in this league

 

Could've had a hattrick..

Great finish for his goal eventually..

Absolutely superb defensively. So many headers and interceptions..
