They last two frames from Higgins were outstanding. Under that pressure, to perform like that was unreal.

Thank *. Toed himself up the * for that last frame. Hopefully the prospect of Ronny in the semi's has him at his best.

I’m not sure it’s dying but it’s certainly not growing. Need this new breed of Chinese talent to kick on in the next few years to add some excitement.

Balls of absolute granite. Dug deep in those last 2 frames.

I’ve never seen a player get the run of the ball like Lisowski got in that final session. Fair play to Higgins, would have been easy to throw in the towel when his opponent is snookering him off misses and leaving nothing the other times.

It was slight hyperbole tbh, but it just feels like the sport doesn't have a bright future to me.

The next gen will have a lot of (East) Asian & British Asian (predominantly Pakistani) players mixed in with I guess what you can call stereotypical snooker players. I think we're in this crossover period where the old guard's dominance (British/Irish) is coming to an end and we're seeing new people taking to the sport.

It'll go quiet for a while before being rejuvenated. It may be anecdotal because of where I live, but when I go into snooker clubs in the U.K. nowadays, whether it's a Tuesday afternoon or a Saturday night, they're full of Pakistani Muslim players that are full of talent. It won't be long before they make a breakthrough at elite level. It's about time snooker had a bit of a shakeup!

I'm sorry but Hazel Irvine would still get it.

Is it just me, or is John Higgins making a lot of 'curious' shot choices? Some of them just seem plain bizarre!

In to watch a bit of Higgins and hitting some diabolical shots and hammered in all 3 frame's I've seen..

Looks pish and always looks like he's knackered these day's..

    Ominous..

That was a kick in the bollocks for Higgins after he made a * of that black for the frame.

Pathetic again. Needed that black ball, hit it miles too hard and choked..

Looks like he's visibly crumbled in his seat..

You knew he was never ever gonna win it once it was a black ball game..

An utter riddy again from Higgins..

    Game over..

Yeah a pretty awful session for him. To lose that last frame was an utter joke, * easy black he just needed to roll in and the frame was his and he misses. Can’t see any way back from that.

Yeah I’ve no idea what he was thinking with that shot, just needed to tap it in and take the frame.

Ronnie done well to get a shot on the black and pull it back tbf though.

Looks like there will only be one winner at this point.

The way he's playing it's not looking good and Higgins will still reach latter stages of tournaments but think his best days are behind him now but it happens to everyone .
