    He still going.......

Wish he'd put as much energy in to us like trying to get us better set-up at set pieces instead of saying there's no point even trying anymore..

Wish he'd just * off full stop..

You’ve mentioned this before, and I don’t doubt it at all btw, but has anyone got the quotes about him saying that about set pieces? Because me missing it at the time probably shows how far he sunk, because I always listened to his pre-match/aftermatch stuff. And I fell away from it when I lost heart in him, done the same with Rodgers at the end. WGS I done it for two seasons or something, not because I lost the heart in him, just because he * annoyed me :56:

    I'll try and find it..

I can remember me, you and Padmill talking about it, that we realised that we couldn’t be * listening to him anymore.

was it at Dingwall or when they put us out the cup infact? i can remember when that happened I stopped listening to most of our stuff cos it was so annoying

“For some reason” “can’t change that now”

    Jesus * Christ man.

Saying you can work on it and set it up constantly but if it’s not working then you * shake it up, change it, cos then it’s down to the manager.

See losing Damian Duff, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more obvious effect on a coach leaving us than that. The season before he done the set pieces and we were unreal at it. And Lennon gave him full credit for that as well, which I liked at the time. From that one season to the next was insane though.

    Painful innit..

Just showed how out his depth he was at us for that season..

From early on throwing player's under the bus to telling us he couldn't get them to defend set pieces..

Glad it won't be like that for a long time (hopefully ever)..

Aye I remember player's saying the exact same thing and even pointing to him when some had come off. He was deffo a good coach here. Very highly rated..

"He's been a breath of fresh air::::::" (referring to Ange) unlike the stench around the club last season when ginger baws was the manager.

I don’t even think he’s majorly highly rated all in, but he was unreal for us with the job he had to do in that 9 in a row season.

And this is a thing that gets looked down upon because nepotism but he got Celtic, and he was always outwith our budget as a player and this was his chance to do his bit as a Celtic fan that’s good at his job. In a dressing room that’s infectious, it’s why a really like McManus being part of the coaching team just now, especially because it’s clear Ange values him as a coach.

He was always better as a player for us because of his feelings towards us as a club, played far above his ability and dominated the dressing room with his personality and as a player on the pitch.

You want that attitude around the team. Especially when there’s more and more players coming in that you don’t have those guys on the pitch. McGregor’s the only one that’s guarenteed playing who has that attitude, it’s another reason I love Ralston that attitude…

I thought one of the final bits of that interview was really interesting. When he was asked whether he would hope to one day return to Scotland and step out the Celtic Park tunnel again to applause and give a wave of acknowledgment. His response: "Not really".

Genuinely don't think he gives a flying * about Celtic anymore tbh.

You could argue that he says that in terms of not being egotistical and expecting the acclaim

So he’s now upset that his ex teammates care more about Celtic being successful than Neil Lennon being Celtic manager.

The Celtic support and the pro-Celtic pundits were supposed to just ignore the fact we were 20 points behind the Huns and getting pumped by Sparta Prague B team, Ross County etc - as long as Neil’s in charge.

I’m sure if it was Ronny or Ange in charge last season then Neil wouldn’t have had a bad word to say in the media..

Just when you think his arrogance has peaked he goes and outdoes himself.

Hopefully those ‘ex-teamates’ he speaks about have their say too.

Aye that bit btw, his ex-teammates went out their way to not twist the knife, and several like Sutton and Hartson were open about being biased and not wanting to be critical. Which I respect majorly. They done well by him, rather than being professional.

They had to do their jobs at one point though, and they made sure it was not personal, made sure it was on purely footballing terms.

They probably had jeopardised their own wage with using the kid gloves.

The only one who called it out straight away was Stan Petrov, and I don’t think they’re actual mates.

Which again shows how his views that distorted.

The fact he still talks up Peter Lawwell but shows nothing but disrespect towards his former teammates and our supporters, really speaks volumes of the guy.
