We have too many similar type midfielders who are also the boom or bust type.

We need to move McGregor forward with one of Hatate/Rogic/Oreilly/Turnbull and we need to make a top AM a priority in the summer.

McGregor offers you consistency in middle of park which we don't always have

Their racsim and anti-Catholicism songs and comments both at the game and online is the reason why when they died, we should've kept our foot on their new club's throat.

If this one is to die, I hope for society that that's it. They're gone for good.

McGregor should be where Hatate is and we need to find a proper CDM for these types of games and in Europe.

Aye that * me off as well. Leave the * on the floor and trample over the top of him. There was one first half as well when Hart should have been playing on quickly when Aribo was lying on the floor after complaining he should have had a penalty.

That was a sore one yesterday. Really thought we were to strong for them *! Just awake with a * of a hangover and thinking about this game yesterday making me worse. The Tri colors, amazing sight! Just hope we do these * in 2 weeks and get this league wrapped up.

For the next game against them I want to see a different midfield. This would likely be Bitton (if fit), McGregor and ORiley.

Bitton would free McGregor to play box to box, and O’Riley is more mobile than Rogic.

We also need a recognised CF so hopefully Giakoumakis is fit or Kyogo can get himself sharp before the game against Ross County. Maeda out left and Jota on the right.

We also need to look to play through them instead of going long early. We need to find McGregor and ORiley both players capable on the ball and get them combining with Juranovic and Taylor as well as the front three.

Edit: also on further reflection I would like to see us revert to trying to play our game rather than trying to combat their’s. The Rogic pushed up almost as a striker and us playing almost 4-2-4 at times hasn’t really worked well in either game against them. We have had to surrender a lot of possession and Lundstrum and Jack largely stood just inside our half untested for long spells yesterday.

I know it was a different midfield from them but at Celtic Park we got our two attacking midfielders wide to combine with the wingers and the full backs underlapped or overlapped depending on the wingers position. That was still on yesterday but we never really tried to play that way. We were too busy trying to get back to front quickly.

I would still be thinking of a similar midfield to the above but be looking to get O’Riley and McGregor stretching the game and making their two centre mids have to work harder to close down space. Aribo struggled to contain McGregor yesterday and was a very lucky boy to not get sent off when he was on a booking and hauled back one of our players just outside our box, Madden played advantage and never went back like the McGregor incident to book him.

Hate when you have so many games against them close together. Got absolutely no time to enjoy the win at Ibrox at all before being knocked out the cup. Oh well. Hopefully works in our favour this time when we play them at Celtic Park in 2 weeks.

Mate after their last two games and europe they will feel bullet proof. They will think they are unbeatable and i have a feeling they will win all their remaining league games, including against us unless Ange gives our lads the kick up the * they need.

Can't see it. They'll be going full pelt in Europe and take domestic games for granted.

Just back from an Easter camping trip so missed the live match. I watched a 25 minutes highlights and my take on that was we were flat and they were dead set up for it. Did I miss anything else?

We need to get rid of alot of dead wood if we are inheriting all this Champions League money.

We need European ambitions, time for players like Taylor, Ralston, Mikey Johnson, starfelt, bitton, Forrest, rogic, Welsh & McCarthy to move on.

Some of them have had there time and some just aren't and will never be good enough for us beyond domestic success.

Teams like Salzburg, Ajax, Leipzig..etc can achieve relative success so can we but we have to cut the slack.

that wee salute does ma * in. but my main hate is he usually does them a turn,, was only really worried about him and Sakala - he is a bit * but has pace, both my fears came to pass

posted way early on in the thread that the games we are confident in sometimes gives us grief or we come unstuck. We didnt play well enough to win, Madhun didnt help but wasn't the only reason we are not in the final.

They haven't won it yet and last time were all out bumping their gums prior to losing to the Hibees, but main thing is we cant win it now.

Very disappointed in our teams display rather than genuine anger.. more *, did NOT see that poor performance coming. Im lucky enough not to have to suffer these cnuts around me at work or in my life so my thoughts are with all of you who have to put up with that.

Ange will win more trophies in his first season than Gerrard did in his whole time up here - so going by that metric he will be off managing Arsenal this time next week.

The League is not over.. but im going to buy the champers now in expectation. Days like these just remind us to take nothing for granted and hopefully lets the management know that we need better for domestic and european competitions.

    * day yesterday but i am over it. Would have bitten your hand off for a double back in August and just need to reset and put in good performances over the next 3 weeks.

HH and OUR TIME WILL COME

Not too fussed about yesterday now. They HAD to win and did.

It does raise some questions and validates some of the things Ange said about being a work in progress.

The midfield three worried me more than anything. For various reasons I have questions around all of our central midfielders other than O'Riley and McGregor. We definitely, definitely need a 6 for in there as a starter.

I can see Ange being ruthless in the summer.

While I agree, we're not getting rid of half the names you've put up and nor should we.

We have a league to win as well. We need depth. Some of those are deadwood, granted. Some of them are odd to include in a list to move on.

Some of those players have played well for the majority of the season and you're looking to get rid?

At the risk of stereotyping or generalising I'm just calling it as I see it. Japanese players generally have the greatest work ethic I've seen among footballers. They are the ultimate professionals, if they wanted a move you can bet your bottom dollar they wouldn't start turning in * performances to force the move or anything like that. That said, they do seem a bit too tame for these old firm fixtures, Maeda less so, but Kyogo and Hatate seemed like boys against men when they were going in for 50/50s, the Huns simply wanted it more. I think they'll adapt though and these issues are easily addressed. Japanese football may be more technical, more about the passing game, whatever, but these derby games are fought and won by those 50/50 moments.

The referee didnt cost us that game yesterday, we were not good enough.

We are not gona win every game against opposition with a bit of quality by defending from the front alone.
players need to step up and take the game by the scruff of the neck and we need to show a bit of quality as well.

Hatate, as good as he is technically, needs to mature positionally. I didnt like that midfield three, its where these games are won and lost and we looked outmuscled.

Taylor's goal was a well structured effort from a free kick and making use of space.

As for the refereeing. You have heard of the frog put in cold water and then the heat is slightly turned on so the frog gradually gets used to the warmth to the point where it is boiled to death.

That is what is being done to Celtic all year in my opinion with referees we get. We are getting used to it, think it is normal to the point we do not do anything about it. We get kicked and bullied all over the park and have players purposely injured with apparent ref approval. They allow it to happen by not calling out the fouls or handing out the cards to the repeat offenders. We are not allowed to play and we do not retaliate for fear of being booked.

Perfect example was the recent cup semi final. Madden should have sent off a minimum of 2 Rangers players. Why ?
Because any other FIFA ref in the world would have done so ! Madden is a disgrace to his profession !

When Celtic players were protesting he was yelling back at them, Juranovic being a prime example. As captain, Calmac has a right to talk directly to the ref and give his views in a civil manner. He needs to to this in a more forceful manner and more often.

So when is enough simply enough ? How much unfairness are you supposed to take without reacting ? You obviously can't play football when the other side is being blatently favoured directly and close to the referee. Something has to give.

Rogic was being physically held and hugged by his opponent to not let him get away and when Rogic attempted to break loose the foul was called against him! This happened more than once. There were examples of ridiculous decisions and things let go all over the park. Lundstrom, Aribo and the left back all should have got red cards for repeat offences.
Our players were getting injured due to Madden's biased and arrogant incompetence !

How much do you take when you have a biased referee and the calls are not being made ? I see this as corruption.
I see this as corruption because it is what it is, and its for the public to see who have a knowledge of how football should be played and when a foul is a foul !

I see it as corruption when it goes deeper than this. How many money bets WORLD WIDE were put on this game for Rangers to win ? I mean big money bets also. So the standard of refereeing comes into doubt and into question also in regards to motivation. Who seeks to gain and in what way from the obvious incompetence of the whistle man in
'control' of the game ? Every one who saw the game has the evidence before them.

How much of a physical mauling can Celtic take before they react ? Teams in other countries react in similar circumstances when players are at risk or are unfairly treated - they walk off the pitch ! The game ceases to be because the team refuses to be treated like * while the other team gets all the favourable treatment.

It has happened more than once in Europe, Asia and South America. You do not want to abide by the rules, well then we will not agree to your stupidity to continue playing and thus validate the fact, that you are trying to screw us over, by us consenting to continue playing under those conditions !

We say to you that you cease to have relevance and credibility as a referee and we do not acknowledge you. You are irrelevent. Get off the pitch and let the 4th official take your place so the game can continue.

This corruption of the game in the SPL needs to stop.
