Shaun Maloney rejoins Celtic

I thought even Lawwell doesn't want him back. thanks to the way he * off

He was a valuable member of staff at a successful company, he then opted to move for money (£5k a week..) to a lesser company and play/work part-time. Basically, put in all the hard work and get little to no rewards.

He can stay where is as far as I'm concerned. Was gutted when he left to join a manager who wouldn't play him.

 

he didnt make himself look too good the way he left even though i believe that every player has the right to better himself . I feel if he had left for a better / bigger club then fair enough but mon didnt even play him it was wgs so he owed him some loyalty maybe but hey still a good player and if he proves hes up for it by accepting our wages then fair enough by me

 

Id take him back, hes a good player and would strengthen our team I lost count last season how many times I looked at the bench and never saw any players who would come on and make an impact, If he signed he would give us more options. We have a good chance to sign him but who could we get thats better for the same price?

 

I do think Wee Maloney will comeback to Celtic 1 day but he wont be back this summer imo

Wouldnt surprise me if he is back someday constantly linked with us ever since he left.

 

think he mite be back. gd player would be a gd addition to the squad.
duno if ther is eny truth in this rumour rite enough coz its just like the mcfadden rumour. they r the rumours goin about every transfer window

caddis looked awesome.. mccourt and mizuno have good potential and nakamura on the other side.

not counting the fact that brown/ robson can be played on the wings

 

although i do like maloney ,i think you make a very valid point,we do have plenty of cover and the bhoy caddis is looking a fantastic prospect. good post mate

 

i want him back, but you do make good points.

but maloney has something about him, none of those players you mentioned have.

the ability to beat men on the run and then score from 30-25 yards.

Caddis is emerging as a great talent though so we may not even need maloney as a backup.

 

Dont let him anywhere near parkhead he thought he could play in the premiership but he isnt good enough so why let him come back to celtic he isnt good enough for us either

He actually really wanted to play for Celtic including taking relatively low wages to get his chance.

If Maloney was willing to apologize to Celtic and take a pay cut to play here then I think he would be welcomed back.

Honestly in 2-3 years we might be better off with Caddis, Mizuno, or McCourt anyway. I think all 3 will develop to be very good and we will have problems picking 1 to start.

 

Good players are hard to come by, and good players that we can afford are even harder.

Love him or loathe him, Maloney is a good player, and you can't have enough good players in your team. What happens when McGeady moves on. Try replacing him! Maloney could step right in.

 

Bang on - don't see the point in all this embittered sh^t about how he left the club before.. would he strengthen the squad? Yes. The end.

 

That's my oponion on what he did to the club, dragged his heels and spat the dummy about getting a new contract then jumped ship for a few bob more to Villa.

Don't want him back now or ever,it would be an injustice for Celtic to even consider re-signing him for 2-3 times more than what he was sold on for.

 

It wouldnt look good on Celtic's part if a player fcked off because he thought he was too good for them only for him to be welcomed back when he found out he wasnt. It wouldnt happen with any other big European club,

 

I'd take him back without hesitastion,he was great for us before and he would be even better now.
