Don't think we'll see much of Jullien this season..

With only a year left on his deal too we may try and move him on..

 

Bitton more than capable v Ross County at CB if required..

 

I think he'll definitely go in the summer..

 

I like the big man but people are forgetting..

1. His passing isn't brilliant at times
2. Dykes left him in tears after bullying him for 90mins, he can be got at physically..

He is excellent in both boxes tho.

I agree there is no point in McCarthy being on the bench along with all the others.

 

Think the most glaring weakness in this Ange side will be his lack of pace mate..

I know he's been out a long time but he was noticeably slow in his wee cameo the other week. Really struggled to get about..

He was never quick anyway but in this side he could be exposed badly from it. Carter-Vickers and Starfelt have pretty decent pace and are quite mobile with it overall..

 

It's amazing how good our defensive record is considering one of our two centre backs can't handle physicality and, according to some brain dead * on here, is hopeless.

Joe Hart has faced 5 shots on target in our last 5 games. We've went to Tannadice and Easter Road and not conceded a single shot on target in either game.

That would suggest he's being pretty well protected by the guys in front of him.

 

You don't actually realise how quick CCV and Starfelt are, which in turn makes it harder for Jullien to slow straight back in.

Jullien was quite slow before the injury, and is even slower in his cameo against Raith. I want the big man to have a good end to his career but I'm not sure it'll happen here

I'll be surprised if he's here next season. Just don't see him suiting the way Ange plays.

They both look ungainly in their stance and running, Carter-Vickers can look a bit stiff and Starfelt bit hunchbacked but both deceptively quick and get about well..

There isn't a chance that partnership gets broken up now..

Unreal when you see it laid out like that..

Team's barely look like scoring against us at the minute..

 

Pretty much all our conceded goals come from set pieces, which, admittedly, is something Jullien would majorly help with.

Problem is we lose all the other benefits of the current partnership, so it isn't really worth risking.

I was a fan of Jullien as well but that's the way it goes. New style, player's and he's gone from a first pick before injury to no even getting in match day squad's..

 

Could be looking to add 2 x CBs in the summer...

Hopefully we won't have qualifiers to play..

 

He probably needs a full preseason under Ange to get anywhere near starting regularly, but with a year left on his contract he'll probably move on in the summer..

 

There was rumours before that he wanted away this summer..

Was homesick, got his injury and during covid/lockdown, all the French boy's gone..

I have a feeling it will probably suit all parties in the summer as well..

 

If he is to move on in the summer, I can't see us getting much for him with all things considered.

I can see why he's not getting a look in. Why fix something that ain't broke? It's more of a risk throwing him in than it would with sticking with Starfelt and CCV combination.

He'll no doubt be one of our top earners and I can't see him staying for more than when his current deal runs out next summer.

It's a real shame because he was a really good defender for us but I don't think he'll get much opportunity with us, understandably.
