Not going to go over this sane argument again but what I will say is the fact Starfelt, a guy who can't handle any kind of physical contact, plays every week kinda makes that argument irrelevant

 

I see he is not even on the bench today , what is going on?

 

My guess is either manager doesn't rate him or he's wanting away in the summer

 

Well don't, if I was arguing for one over the other then you could make that argument I never argued the comparison of both players, I'm saying I don't think he's merits a place I also don't rate starfelt either, kinda makes your post irrelevant

No mate, what I meant was I'm not going over the lazy argument that he can't cope physically as imo it's wrong.

I brought Starfelt into it bcoz he certainly can't cope physically

Yeah it's certainly possible.

CCV and Jullien likely away in the summer so once again for the 5 or 6th year in a row we will go into summer needing to fix centre back position. Hopefully lessons have been learned and we won't be back to watching Bitton * about back there again

 

Love the guy but thought when he played a few weeks ago in the cup he looked miles miles off agility wise

Or he's struggling to get up to full fitness. With him being out so long he might be getting little niggles here and there.

 

It could also be the fact he has played about 20 minutes of football in the past 15 months. Say CCV or Starfelt pull up or are sent off early in a game, with the squad getting stronger now due to less injuries we only have room for one CB on the bench so having not played much at all he would need to be thrown in to a crucial fixture and last.

Even given the above I think he will be off in the summer, he will be on good money that we can’t afford for someone being used as a 4th choice CB.

 

People acting likes he's not been out for AGES & that the Starfelt/CCV partnership hasn't been doing well...

 

The naivety of some football fans really is wild. Think ours might have some of the worst on the planet for jumping to conclusions.

Jullien won’t feature this season unless the league is wrapped up.

He will get up to fitness, get a full preseason behind him and fight for a spot next season. CCV might be gone, he might be Starfelt’s partner.

 

Pretty big lifestyle change but I would support them if that’s their choice.

 

I’d change for either/both of them.

 

Bounce game being arranged during the break. He'll probably play in that with the likes of Turnbull and possibly Kyogo.

Ange wants to stick with the players he’s brought in himself, and that’s fine. It’s just a dam shame we will be losing a quality CB in the summer who has unfortunately not been given a chance since his injury.

We didnt have any cbs on the bench on Saturday so thank * Starfelt or CCV didn't pull up or get sent off eh?

With 9 subs there should always be room for him. We had 5 central midfielders on the bench 3 of which were defensive midfielders. Completley pointless having Mccarthy on there
