Really enjoyed The Batman. Probably 30/40 minutes too long but to be fair there wasn’t a whole lot they could have cut, it was more the movie essentially ended after 2 and half hours and the last half hour wasn’t really pertinent to the rest of the movie. Can’t say I’ve ever been a big Pattinson fan before either but he practically acted that entire movie with his eyes and done a * fine job.

    8/10

Finally got round to watching Spiderman: No Way Home

Can see why it got so much hype. It flew by. Good action scenes, the chemistry between the actors was fantastic and it was emotional in parts. Only thing that sort of let it down, barely mind, was the actual set up of the events - the spell stuff with Doctor Strange.

Thought Andrew Garfield stole the show.

Totally agree he came across quite emo as Bruce but was really good as Batman

Aye he was class. Willem Dafoe edged it for me though. Great choice to have him not wear the mask as he knocked it out the park playing a nutjob.

Aye, I know it’s partly because I got used to Bale playing Bruce, then Affleck who was quite similar. But the emo awkwardness definitely shone through.

    New Jersey Drive - 7/10

I saw this film once on BBC when I was maybe 13/14, and up until last night had never been able to find it anywhere. Couldn't find it on video/DVD and it never came back on TV again, but it's appeared on my IPTV box. Cool film about joyriders in Newark, with a decent 90s hip hop soundtrack.

Not a particularly famous cast, but a few early-ish appearances from people like Donald Faison (Turk from Scrubs), and a couple of Sopranos cast members Paul Schulze and Arthur Nascarella. Heavy D also makes an appearance lol

This batman had no gadgets, big clunky boots and his car looked like something from mad max.

    Didnt get it at all.

Didn't really take to the new Batman film either tbh. It was still miles better than that Justice League/BvS nonsense but wouldn't be overly fussed if I never seen it again.

Aye, but he had black paint on his eyes when he took off his cowl.

    That alone deserves applause.

Watching The Usual Suspects. One of my fav films but without spoiling it for those that have never watched it, the ending defeats the purpose of the entire heist plot lol

No, it doesn't. As you say though don't want to spoil for anyone who hasn't previously (what is the statute of limitations on spoilers, btw?... 25 years? haha), but this probably isn't the thread for this particular line of discussion, lol
