At the very least they are listening to their support where as we've not even acknowledged who we're playing

They look like clowns coming with us to an Ange homecoming when all the hype is with us, Aussie channel's linking up with us and potentially off the back of us winning the league..

Don't get me wrong I hate the idea of cosying up for friendlies with them on the other side of the world but it looks * terrible for them when it's all stripped back :giggle1:

I don't get that at all tbh mate I think it looks equally as bad on us the fact we've not even officially acknowledged we're playing them tells me all I need to know the board know it's a shambles. Anyone going over with us was always going to be essentially second fiddle purely due to Ange but for us to come away with this we're not half of anything schtick then cling on to the 'old firm' idea is beyond parody. At least there board has seen the outrage and are looking to be taking action no matter how shady it may or may not be but us on the other hand are sicking counting the pennies ignoring the support and not even acknowledging it's happening in the first place.

It definitely doesn't look good, I hate it, genuinely think it's farcical....but if we were invited to tag along to Rotterdam with Gio and his cronies for an orange fest....it would look more embarrassing for us. That's all I'm saying..

We should've went and made sure it was us on our tod only....no arguments there..

I see it differently. I think it's excruciatingly embarrassing that we're bringing our 'dancing partner' to Ange's homecoming! Just propagates the '2 cheeks of the same *' nonsense.

    Pure riddy!

Frankly our board maybe aren't that keen either. I can imagine we were in a tricky position where if we said no to the match the media would spin it as us being petty and holding the game back Or something.

By agreeing to it, but marketing other aspects like Ange homecoming, the new stadium and our local appeal. It sends the message that We're their to take part in the tournament regardless of who else is invited

Even marketing it as Ange’s homecoming is cringe since Ange is from Melbourne, a city 550 miles away from Sydney.

Our board won't care what the support think last season proved that beyond any doubt. If its putting pennies in the pocket that's all that matters

Mental they could get away with two massive * ups through absolutely none of their own doing…

I've bought tickets but its farcical to call it Anges homecoming. He's from Melbourne. They could have played it at the G and sold 100,000 tickets. Sydney isn't Anges home.

Play Melbourne City, Melbourne Victory and Man City for instance. Was buzzing to see us play them after 6byears a way from home but I'd rather they just pulled the plug after seeing the seating arrangements.

If I was famous and coming back to Scotland and had a big gig in one of the city's I'd still feel like I was coming home even though I came from the middle of knowhere. He'll have time outwith the games to pop home so he's still going home.

Just shows how out of touch with reality the organisers are or how much of a two bit organisation they are
Also did they not even think to consult us and them and ask if shared sections would work
Be best to just scrap this * as it looks like it’s being organised by amateurs for a quick quid

Sydneys not a City known for soccer (football). Melbourne is. The largest stadium is in Melbourne and there's more of a Soccer fan base in Melbourne. This tournament has been thrown together with no thought aside from Cash.

i like that its in Sydney. all the Melbourne clubs from the NSL and A-League have a long and proud history of epic away trips to Sydney.

I'm taking a week off work for it. and a lot more are doing the same.

would have preferred Ange's homecoming tournament to involve South Melbourne, Melbourne Victory, and Brisbane Roar as those are the 3 clubs he coached in the national leagues.

Melbourne Victory vs Adelaide United is the biggest game in the A-League for me.

Lived in Melbourne for a few years. I’ve been back in Glasgow a good while. Melbourne derby and the Melbourne victory v Sydney was always bigger for me, cracking atmospheres decent football. $250 season ticket cost. Not bad value for money at all . Had the season ticket in the active area for victory . Moved there the year big tam rogic played for them .

Got my Melbourne victory top signed from the big man outside the training centre three years ago when I had my wee boy up there at two years old getting his first wee T-shirts signed.

Looks like the hun fans have staged a protest against playing second fiddle in the Ange home coming tour. Toilet paper thrown on the Dundee field and banners.
