Won’t lie, sort of held it against him when he first left Celtic but can’t help but love the guy. He’s a class act.

    Ridiculous player man.

Centre half and still making goals like that.

Personally I hope he does and for a nice big fee too so we get some money from the sell on profit clause.

Would love to see a guy that came through our youth system play for, probably, the biggest team on the planet. They might not be anywhere near the force they once were but a few decent signings and they could be back competing for the CL again. I know they're still in it but no chance they win it currently.

Plus the financial aspect for us as well.

Aye, fair enough :56: For him personally though I just don't see it as a very good fit. Real sign droves of players who never make the cut and British (I know, I know) players tend to have a tough time there. I think there'd be much better options for him in terms of his career.

Agree, Real are the biggest club in the world. I also think he'd thrive there

I've always thought Barcelona were bigger. Not quite sure why! Possibly just my personal preference for Barca is the difference here.

Out of curiosity, what makes Real bigger for you?

Madrid are a much more successful club, historically.

34 league titles and 13 Champions Leagues, compared to 26 and 5 for Barca.

Yeah this is the frustrating thing for Barca.

They arguably had the best team ever to play football in about 2010 and the success of that period in my mind probably had them as big as Real Madrid if you lend more weight to the here and now. Then Real Madrid go and win 4 champions leagues in 5 years to blow them out the water.

Barca are 100% up there as one of the biggest mate but i just feel Real's European Cups/Champions League make them bigger than everyone else. The white strip is iconic as well

Madrid are the most successful club ever, won the first 5 European cups, won 3 from 5 in the late 90s early 2000s and then 4 in 5 more recently. So success has come in bubbles for them. Also won 2 UEFA Cups, and the sheep stopped them from winning the cup winners cup.
Barcelona have dominated domestic football in Spain though and are still hugely successful. 5 EC and 4 CWC, could get the EL this year.
