Edwards has France moulded into his own persona, uncompromising and not going backwards. Was said tonight up the pub, Farrell and edwards would make England way better if the blazers had the sense to have got them in. I know Farrell was there but these two go way back and for whatever reason league backgrounds seem to improve union.

 

Just seen that Van Der Merwe will miss the rest of the 6 Nations because of a red card against London Irish at the weekend.

I understand why they're focusing on preventing head-injuries, but come on... that's a weak penalty for me at worst - never mind a Red Card and subsequent ban from International fixtures!

 

Ridiculous IMHO, considering the amount of shenanigans that goes on in any game of rugby.

The Scots should have enough to see off the Italians right enough, but it´s a blow not to have him available against Ireland.

Ireland and Scotland turning over England this season have to like that to say the least.

 

If you had told me before the game that we would go to London and beat England 32-15 I would have been over the moon at such a scoreline. What is crazy to me though is that just like when we pumped Wales in the first game the score could easily have been much bigger but for a string of errors . Really other then the first 10 minutes and the last 15 minutes we actually played quite poorly today during the other 55 minutes for the most part making basic error after error. Maybe part of that is that this Ireland team is so attack oriented that we do take risks and give away possession more often as a result but still I really feel that we have yet to see Ireland play anything close to our best for a full 80 minutes during this 6 nations so far.
But certainly next weekends final round will be interesting. I think it is surprising that the Ireland v Scotland and France v England games do not start at the same time. Ireland v Scotland is first and will be done by the time the game starts in Paris. Hopefully we can get the win and pile on the pressure as much as possible on France and see if they can handle it.

 

Looking forward to this one today cant remember the last time in the one day im cheering for ireland then england haha
