Would recommend the Old Man and the Three podcast, past few episodes he’s had Draymond and CP3 on - really good listen if you’re into your basketball.

It’s insane how even amongst the elite of the elite MJ is seen as almost *-like.

Canny think of another sportsperson outside of maybe Ali that has that aura about them.

 

Aye it’s mental. It’s almost as if I thought he’d be too big to be there, I don’t know why. You see him and theres guys in the background like D Wade but the camera and people or just fixated on MJ.

 

It’s surreal. It’s like everycunt else is in absolute awe of him. Like they’re all just staring at him and hanging on every word.

Magic, Bird, Kareem, Shaq, Barkley, West… Even Lebron in his home state/team where he won them there only championship are all a complete afterthought as soon as MJ appears.

Genuinely never seen anything like that.

 

Demar DeRozan man.

 

If Steph Curry was doing what Demar has been doing these past few months he would be the runaway MVP favourite.

If the Bulls get the 1 seed and his play doesn’t cool off then he needs to get some serious consideration for the award - considering the injuries the Bulls are dealing with just now.

 

Obviously biased but I would say he deserves it. Genuinely think he’s been the most consistent over the course of the whole season.

Other players have started on fire and slowed down or started slowly then caught fire later on but he’s just been a * machine and never had a full strength team. The injuries and Covid cases on the Bulls have been by far the worst in the league.

Canny see him winning it though. He’s not a big enough name to win it or a future face of the league.
