Give the big man game time as we need him match ready to stiffen up our defence.

I just wish the Bodo pitch wasn't artificial. That is risky for injury-prone players. Then again, he has to start playing sometime.

It would be great to see Jullien start on Thursday. Maybe not play the 90 minutes but maybe get him 60 or so minutes.

I'll be very surprised if he gets many minutes this season. He looked as slow as a week in the jail when he came on the other week. Reckon he's still a long time away from being close to his best.

Think he will only get game time when we are 3-0 up in game with 20 minutes to go .

I get where your coming from with that thinking. I guess we will just have to see Thursday whether Jullien plays or not. But for me its a game given the circumstances where we have a chance to get him some more minutes whether it be from the start or off the bench.

Thought that myself, understandably he’d be rusty given how long he’s been out for but it was a bit of a concern seeing him try to get about the park. His movement looked brutal and extremely restricted, didn’t look close to being fit.

Unless it’s an absolute emergency there’s no chance he starts a game this season.

    He was worryingly slow..

Long time out though. Will be rusty for a while..

Is he injured again? Hasn't been on the last two benches?

There was suggestion elsewhere that he was more interested than moving to a new club than getting fit and playing for us. Maybe part of Ange not wanting guys that don’t want to play for the team?

The thought crossed my mind that it might be a mutual feeling from us. Julien will be a big earner to be sitting on the bench. If he fancies a move away and someone is keen then I would let him go.

He was a good player for us two seasons ago but spent all last year injured between his back then his knee after that collision with the post. His lack of pace in the Ange high line system also raised questions about if he could play well in it.

Find this hard to believe tbh.

Club posted a long interview with him just last week. Think he's just been out so long we maybe realise we seriously can't rush him at a time when we can't afford passengers.

People just make * up when one of their favourite aren’t playing.

Just like the * about him having tightness or a setback when he wasn’t in the squad a few weeks ago after being named in it the game before.

He’s just way down the pecking order.

on the bench - 1-0 and with 10 mins to go, we could do worse than bring him on to defend corners / set pieces etc, plus valuable from corners. hopefully he is on the bench as an option it would be wise idea. fingers crossed he is not needed but can come on when we are 2-0 or 3-0 up, we are due giving a team a good thumping fingers crossed it is sunday.

Hard to see him getting any starts this season. Not worth disrupting a solid pairing.

Postecoglou has also hinted that Christopher Jullien could feature imminently after spending 14 months sidelined with serious knee ligament damage. His only first team appearance this season has been against Raith Rovers in a Scottish Cup win.

“His opportunity might come sooner rather than later,” said Postecoglou.

“Chris is in the same boat as everyone else here. He’s working hard at training and he’s waiting for an opportunity to try and take it.

“I haven’t ruled him out of anything. My view on the defensive area is that it’s important to have that cohesion between centre-backs and goalkeeper.

“Cam [Carter-Vickers] and Carl [Starfelt] have been outstanding all year. That has meant that guys like [Stephen] Welshy and Chris have to be patient. Chris knows that and understands it.”
