Had him ruled out as a dud.

Not in a talent sense but a mentality or desire sense. But my * the boy screams as someone who wants to make it which is fantastic after a fairly nomadic career

Well, based on the evidence until about 6 hours ago, it was a fair assessment.

Would be interested to know how many touches he had today. I don't think his play was much different, just clicked for him and the goals came. Delighted for him!

Also had the shot that Maeda just couldn't get on the end of first half and went wide. So off my head he had 4 very dangerous moment's and a conversion rate of 75% which is quality..

Chested it and played a nice layoff out by the North stand second half as well..

 

Bet him the last 2 games to score hat trick, missed it today, there's a goalscorer there,he's been very unlucky with keepers making lucky saves against him, glad he had the luck today

 

Feel like a game like this has been coming for the big man. He's done everything but score the last few games, completely bullied the huns as well, which some people forget.

 

That must be a record! Could've had the same in the huns game to be honest. Hope he continues as he is and our midfield gets back at it.

Also no mention of the elbow against him on sportscene.

 

All his goals been one touch finishes ?

 

Not really. His goals to minutes wasn’t the worst for being and out of the team.

 

I said it before, and I'll say it again... He reminds me of Griffith, but without the baggage, weight/fitness problems or the * attitude...

And I know it's 'cheating' but I'm kinda counting him as a new start in last 7 or so games, on account of him getting injured straight away and this being his first run as fully fit and integrated in the team, so he's actually doing better than his raw numbers suggest. Saying that, he should still have about 6 or 7 more - between bad luck and crazy/sloppy misses

Edit: it's actually 10 matches, with 7 starts - just checked. And he's had 6 in them, and has been a monumental pain in the * against every opponent, as far as I remember. There's a player in there, he's just not the finished article, and just needs to find this consistently, and keep getting them in.

 

Love his confidence/ arrogance / optimism regarding our chances of success this season.

But ffs Jackie, keep that * to yourself.

Announcing your plans is a good way to hear * laugh.
