Got my power rack fully built now in the garage. Operation delta rugby legs is go. So like an absoloute beast, I hit my first session of full sqauts. * nearly on the ground I was so deep. Grunting away like a pro.

Its been 4 days since and I still can't sit on the toilet, still walking like a penguin and I'd rather sleep on the sofa than face the stairs :56:

10 K is 6 and a quarter mile you should be running that at 45mins , if you are running with a friend keep chatting to each other , it helps your breathing and your pace .

So while trying to maintain fitness I may have * it. Here's a question for knee injury experts :fear:

Landed completely normal from a jump. A wonderful jump a gymnast would be proud of obviously.. not a 2cm one :fear:

Anyway landed normal but something sounded or felt crunchy.. not a pop though, instant pain and couldn't put much pressure on it for about 5mins. Now my knees rather large, and I can no longer bend it without intense pressure in the knee. I can however stand full weighted pain free hence iv not visited a doctor yet. Obviously I walk like a * because my legs pure straight... Think its most likely a sprain and the swellings causing the intense pressure and inability to bend and walk normal? Its almost as if the tendon in the rear feels like its about to cramp up until I straighten the leg.

Talkceltic doctors pipe up before I give up n phone the doc :56: happened 2 days ago and zero improvement.

I'm a member of the auld * club too Dalbeth and have OA in both knees, left hip and left shoulder. I'm waiting to go into hospital for a complete knee replacement so I need to be careful re what exercises I can do. I've just started back at the gym after two years of doing practically * all and I m gradually building things up. I usually do 10 mins on the bike, 10 mins on the treadmill, 12 lengths in the pool and a good 30 mins lifting weights. I've also lost a stone in weight as the hospital said I was obese and I am looking to loose another 6 lbs which is hard as *. Also take loads of supplements such as Glucosamine, Turmeric, Cod Liver Oil Omega 3 etc. which might or might not help

I am not doing the treadmill to me its just like pounding the streets which causes more damage , if i had been pounding grass i would not have done as much damage ,you still have to pound the road tho, the grass helps and stops the damage to a lesser intent.

I do some trunk curls 40 per day and pull some weights 12.5 i am doing a 15 pull at the moment will increase by 5 pulls per week but keep the weight the same.it builds the muscle in the arms which help in the swimming.

I am going to try a change of routine, go swimming in the morning at 6 AM and i am going to be allowed one hour in the pool and hope i can get the mile in in that time . I will then go to the gym which opens at 7.45 in the morning and i hope i get it all right , so i will spend about 80 mins on the apparatus , if all goes rite.
I advise for you to try the bike in the gyms,,,,PS they told me i was to young to get my knees operated on,,what the * do they know.

I do not eat anything before i go swimming and the gym,,, i will have my breakfast about 11 to 11.30 AM , weetabix , cornflakes and a banana in the one bowl then a coffee and an oaties biscuit doing that i drop a pound a week and i still have my evening meal.

    :old:

I'm also retired however, due to unforeseen circumstances, I now have less free time on my hands as I did when I was working so I have to squeeze going to the gym whenever I can. Even though I don't get going as much as I would like to I still think it has made a big difference to my quality of life.
