Repeatedly exposed against opponents of a comparable quality. The clear weak link in whatever line up he's in.

 

That was an embarrassing performance tonight. So poor on the ball and off it. We simply have to improve the LB position in the summer.

 

Have defended him previously and been impressed recently but that was horrific tonight. Scales to start Sunday.

 

It is now the biggest weak link in our team LB, might be ok in the spl when the other teams spend most of the games trying to keep us from scoring but tonight I thought he was very poor and lets not forget tonight was Div 3 of European football.

 

Daft wee boy.

 

He’s the glaring weakness in our team. He is capable of putting a good shift in (ie Huns game) but he can’t do it consistently - doesn’t have the ability or natural athleticism.

We MUST sign a first choice LB in the summer.

 

I'll greet if hear anyone else say "he tries" I would try but I would be * as well. Trying should be a pre requisite

He's just far too slight and slow. Attributes he can't improve on. Should have got one in January, was pretty obvious to most.

 

To be fair he had a shocker tonight and was at fault for the 1st, as he was pulled out of position and the second he let the guy weave past him and drive in a cross. I honestly feel sorry for this guy. He is trying he’s just not Tierney level of class.

The thing that astounded me about it is we knew prior to the game it would be Solbakken he would be up against, so do your homework he is all left foot, he was always coming inside then and Taylor showed him their instead of at least trying to show him to the byline.

It was * stuff I wonder if we fail to prepare properly for opposition or if it’s just failure by players. That was a perfect example another was their left back is all right foot, no one tried to go outside him all night, we kept showing him infield where he wanted to go, show him on to his left and he looked like he had never seen a football before.

 

It's like groundhog day as we have been saying the exact same thing since KT left

 

He didn't sign himself and he doesn't pick himself every week. Trying his best is literally all he can do when he is picked. We know he's not good enough, * he probably knows he's not good enough, but that's not his fault when he is still picked regardless.

 

It doesn't make him above criticism. You know your days must be numbered when the best case for the defence is 'aye but he tries'

 

The only reason this useless f*cker was given a new, lengthy deal is because no one is stupid or desperate enough to take him off our hands.

I didn't say anything about him being above criticism, I'm saying the fact he is being played when he isn't up to the task is not his fault. When you are in a situation like that all you can do is give 100% anyway and hope for the best.

 

Agree mate, probably every fan on here would give 100% for celtic, don’t think anyone on here has ever doubted the wee guy’s commitment and yeah he’s right not his fault he gets picked and he’s probably a nice wee guy,but it’doesn’t change the fact that the majority of Celtic fans don’t think he is anywhere near the answer to being Celtic s first choice LB,
He was fairly decent last few games but personally hes weak and small and never wins a physical battle g, he’s also not the fastest and very rarely wins a 50/50 tackle and when he does get forward about 80% of his crosses don’t clear the first defender, granted tonight no one played well, don’t mean to slate the guy just my opinion of him
