What would happen to us if we do win the league and go into the champions league. Very worrying.

Also worth noting that they've been preparing for this fixture without distraction for at least three weeks. They looked so well prepared and it showed.

Need a different attitude next game. No fight at all.

Good thing is every player on the pitch tonight can play much better as not one of them was even average.

That third goals the most “Celtic in Europe” goal I’ve ever seen.

Joke performance tonight. Beaten comfortably by a team who's in their pre season.

Goes to show what can happen if you do your homework properly. For years we've been saying in qualifiers that if we were up to speed against teams who are well into their seasons we'd qualify. We'll tonight * all over that theory.

Do many players tonight took them for a walkover. Taylor once again proved his not cut out for Europe, Starfelt buckled under pressure and although he got a goal Maeda just doesn't do it for me, hope to * he comes good but right now I'd say he's an impact sub at best.

Terrible night in Europe but that's something we've become very familiar with especially in the knockout rounds and against teams that we could and should not be losing at home too.

Tbh I know you re * off like the rest of us but domestically to be 6 points behind the Huns less than a month ago went to pittodrie tynecastle Motherwell and Huns at home and taken maximum points and now be top of the league has been very impressive indeed, don’t really know what your expecting 4-0,5-0 wins every week just doesn’t happen
Pish tonight thou no doubt about it

    The Good
    • Lovely assist and header for the Maeda goal
    • A footballing lesson to learn from
    The Bad
    • Tactically shambolic - what exactly was the plan? Some players pressing sometimes, others sitting deep. When Bodo received the ball tons of time & space, when we received it they were on us like dogs
    • Abada - hoaching. The right-footed LB ghosted by him multiple times when he should have been shown down the line. Offensively awful too - delivery and decision-making is scandalous at times
    • Taylor

The League has been the be-all-and-end-all for me and that isn't the sour grapes talking, I've said that from the outset. If crashing out this competition allows us to pay complete attention to the League and also have potentially earlier games to pile on the pressure then tonight isn't a disaster.

Agreed on the need to win the league. Our defending on the second goal was embarrassing tonight, and the third we gave him far too much time on the ball, even if it only went in because of the deflection. They were set up brilliantly though, so well coached and every player was so comfortable on the ball. Can't take that away from them. Their coach will go really far in the game.

    We'll top the group.

But lose to Sheriff in the last 16, 5-1 on aggregate.

Let's be honest, nobody expected us to do anything in Europe this year, so let's not get too worried about it. League most important, and even that we didn't expect to be competing for.

The new players will have had a good lesson tonight in the step up in quality required in Europe. Not a bad thing to have a reality check.

Yep. I know they replaced several players, but they look like a side who have been playing their style of football for a few years under that manager. They're well ahead of us in that sense. You also notice in Europe that it's not just the quality of the players, but also the athleticism we've struggled against at times. We saw that tonight and it was the same against Midtjylland, Betis and Leverkusen. Neither Rogic or O'Riley are particularly mobile, Taylor looks slow as * at times, Abada and to some degree Jota are a bit slight, etc.

A 2-3 loss wouldn't have been the end of the world, but a 2 goal deficit is gonna be tough going there.

We just have to hope we learn from tonight. One thing you can say about our team so far this season is they have seemed to respond to bad results.

It's not about being arrogant mate but seriously Bodo were competent nothing more. They worked hard, were compact defensively and fought. Commendable but nothing any team shouldn't be doing. Our lack of a defensive game made it easy for them, their players ran off the ball and weren't followed all game long. I have no animosity towards Bodo, I admire them in fact, but this nonsense about them being top quality....please. Man City, PSG, Liverpool....that is top quality.
