[Matchday] Celtic v Bodo/Glimt February 17th BT Sport 2 kick off 8PM

I agree the other 2 aint helping defensively but even on the ball hes been horrendous.

Only reason id say keep him on instead of rogic is hes our captain, but hes actually alongside jota and Taylor men down.

 

I wanted him to as well mate, but think it’s 20/20 hindsight to say definitely one way or the other right now.

Now’s a major time to see what Ange is made of tactically, because they have spent over a month practicing how to play exactly against his normal tactics. Can he change it to show he can have the same style and ethic but tactically tweaking

 

Another European embarrassment on the way. More proof that when a team works hard and gets at us we have nothing to offer. Until someone realises that 50% of the game is what you do without the ball we will never compete in Europe. The ease with which Bodo beat our players and make runs without being tracked is genuinely embarrassing. It's a sad endictment on Scottish football that we can be so dominant domestically yet be consistently humiliated by the most modest of foreign opposition.

 

Starfelt and Taylor haven't got it within them to perform consistently at this level, that was always obvious

Not sure about Rogic and O’Riley in the same midfield too slow. Need a few changes

That should be a massive wake up call.

Love Tam but he's been so off it since the winter break except for one game. Jota's not been the same either to be honest.

Maeda has been pretty non existent. Still trying to work him out. I thought he was meant to be physical but he's just as lightweight as Kyogo.

It wasn't a terrible half but our quality in the final third has been non existent today. Not surprised when everyone is having a * game bar O'Riley.

Rogic has been a shambles in that half. Completely dominated by player's who can run over the top of him..

His first touch has been pathetic for the most part..

That left hand side has been so *. Jota has has possibly his poorest game in a Celtic jersey. Trying to be too fancy at time's and making an * of it. Taylor's been * as well..

Maeda literally offering nothing in the build up bar running behind. Gets one half chance and has zero composure yet again..

Think O'Riley has been really good
Starfelt also has been good on the ball bar one that went out but really positive
Juranovic decent

Hatate on at half time for Rogic is the most obvious one going. Thought it was strange before the game when I saw the lineup..

Need an early goal as they are fairly comfortable but rattled now and again in their own third..

Good side them though. Impressive. We can still get joy out of them though. Need to up it..

 

That's been the case since Rodgers first season

 

Could be a good option against teams that are just going to sit back against us but definitely need a more dynamic field to counter one like this.

 

Will be a good test second half, not often we've been chasing a game. Don't think we've been too terrible - some decent build up, but very frustrating final ball/decisions admittedly.

Bodo appear to be very well prepared, which is expected since they've had weeks to just focus on this match. You can tell they've worked on nullifying our wide threat.

te mate wee bit like ralston atart of the season, couple of not bad games recently but should be no where near the first Choice left back at celtic, always use pre season, new players as a bit of an excuse in Europe but they’ve lost 5 players and just started back yet they look fitter than us

 

* off, movement, lol, the goalie actually underarm threw the ball out to their deep lying midfielder with not a celtic player 30 yards near him, our press has been non existent.

 

Anybody else think this refs been quite one sided tonight? Seems to give us * all and blow for everything for them

 

Got into some good areas but the final ball has been poor. Rogic, Jota and Maeda have all been quiet. I’ve been impressed by Bodo. Very comfortable on the ball and they have a great shape. You can see why their manager has been linked with a move, because you can see he has them very well coached. A bit more quality second half and I think we will be ok though.

 

Rogic is great when we are camping round a teams box. But fast open games out side of the spl....nope.

 

This will change in 2nd half it has to, I think ange made a mistake having Orielly and rogic together. Giakomakus will hold the ball allowing jota and abada to come in in the ball

 

Maeda reminds me of Pukki a bit.
