You said Doak merits game time because Ange played him instead of Dembele. Dembele has been injured for 6 months with a serious injury and is working his way back to fitness. It makes no sense.

 

Do you think physicaltiy isn't an issue in preventing injuries? Muscle strength is the best way to avoid injuries

Van Dijk had barely had an injury in his career and was probably the most physically dominant player in football and got done by that wee Pickford. It happens regardless of size.

Mate, dembele has been injured this season.
He was one of the young lads getting game time in preseason and has been injured since then.

Before that, he was an 18 year old playing for two seasons when Neil Lennon was the manager, a manager I think we all agree on being an absolute backwards dinosaur and treated most players he didn't include in his cliques with a lot of disrespect.


No doubt the wee man had chapped the door with Lennon to ask for game time and was refused it. Sole seem to take that as a bad attitude, but the kid is eager to play and was hampered.

Ange came in and the kid started to get his chances. He's barely back to first team training...btw FIRST team training. Something Lennon never bothered his * with (in multiple ways).

He's got to fight for a place with Abada and an experienced Forrest just now, but I'm sure his chance will come again.

As for doak, again, why do some have him ahead of Dembele? He's 16 and played one match for us and suddenly he's the better talent than a soon to be 19 year old who's had rave reviews across the continent and the only reasons he hasn't broken in to the squad is an utter * of a former manager and a 6 month injury he's just returning from.


But aye, doak, the 16 year old with about 8 minutes is ahead of him.
