He's done a good job but his squads have a scarily short shelf life. Liverpool he got a couple of good seasons. Even with us we started to decline in the third year. Same again with Leicester. What's going on? Do his squad figure him out? Does he run them into the ground? Obviously not up to managing the transition to a new squad.

 

We kinda suspected this was gonna happed like it has before on several occasions...good to see

 

I think he brings an initial buzz and professionalism to existing squads, gets them playing but he is incapable of building on it with new players, and after a few years existing players get tired of the same * day in day out. Our final season under him was some of the most boring football ever, 4-5 passes to switch the ball.

 

Leicester fans are dreading the thought of him having a clear out in the summer and rebuilding the squad. I don't blame them.

 

Aye. I personally think he's a cert to get sacked before end of season.

 

Dont give a * now, and the fa cup in last couple of rounds has been quite funny, Forest slapping about tierney anr arsenal, then rodgers and Leicester. Christie out to Boreham, and hardie missing a pk and waghorn missing sitters too, lol.

 

Good point. Does he just buy loads of players and then discard them if he got it wrong? I remember reading that we had loads of players being unused - that could also be a beer dream - one never knows!

 

Poor BR and his third season curse.

I honestly believe when the squads he manages get past the second season, they just stop playing.

Ppl forget how * dire we were with BR is his 3rd here. We were winning games on muscle memory ffs.
The difference in appetite between then and when Lenny took over for the remainder was night and day. Unfortunately for us, it allowed the board to go cheap.

But Leicester fans are your usual moon unit epl'ers. Deluded about how "big" they are, demanding a new manager every three months.
The bottom line is , as far as the epl is, managers are simply not respected anymore.

Its all about keeping the brats in the squad rich and happy.

In many respects BR is right. That Leicester squad needs gutted.
But its HIS squad. He doesnt seem to learn from past mistakes.

 

It now appears to be a * career move.

Winning the FA cup and finishing 5th twice is a great achievement with Leicester but he’ll end up getting the punt now.

Still a brilliant manager, the best British one about, but question marks over his recruitment are justifiable.

 

Actually think he would be a perfect fit for man utd. They've a decent sqaud with no direction. He'd have them challenging but it won't happen because of the Liverpool connection.

 

He apparently turned down the Spurs job. Mental decision in hindsight given how this season has went for him at Leicester. If he’s have left after winning the FA Cup and narrowly missing out on top 4 he’d leave with Leicester fans’ blessing. I know Spurs were a * show in the summer and earlier on in the season but much of that was down to the fact Nuno being the worst possible fit at a bad time. Rodgers could definitely have built something there.

As ever, Rodgers’ timing and gauge of when to depart a club is way off.

Away to Liverpool tomorrow and home to West Ham on Sunday.

I can see him sacked on Monday if I'm honest.

 

Couldn't happen to a more wonderful and beautiful human being.

 

I dodon't think Rodgers would give much of a * tbh.

But depending on how man u deal with the manager situation during the summer and who knocks them.back could see it happening.
* thing is he would get a good season out of them

 

I think I read somewhere that Rodgers can't stand Daniel Levy so that was probably why he turned spurs down. No sympathy for the rat if he does get sacked the way he left us was a disgrace.

 

So the rumour is not true,,,, big Gio is going at end of season ,,,an opening for Fraudgers???
