I know. He would have filled the side with English Championship/EPL relegation journeymen , Scott Arfield type *. Thank * we got Ange.

Even though I was more in the positivity camp regarding the appointment (I tend to be a bit of a happy clapper anyway). Can't blame anyone who had doubts before, I think we all did to varying degrees.

What we have done though is get behind him and the team and he's repaid us in bucketloads. He's genuinely a first class operator

He's rightly getting praised for how our attack and midfield look under him, but I don't think he gets enough praise for what he's done with our defence.

Conceded the least amount of goals in the league by a decent margin. CCV, Ralston and Juranovic are really solid players and Starfelt and Taylor are really dependable under Ange as well, worst case scenario in the last few games is Starfelt making a risky pass (that always works btw!)

Players look like they're busting a gut for him, even laptop and JK look like they're enjoyng themselves, it's a miracle lol.

After early doubts the picture has come into focus, we have great strength and depth in most areas, our attacking options are frightening.

Already have one trophy in the bag and playin some great fitbaw, excited to see how the remainder of the season unfolds, feel quietly confident we can go on and win the League.

Considering he arrived with no backroom team of his own, he's done a remarkable job so far, think it says a lot about him as a person, the character of the man.

Don't give a * about recency bias or jumping the gun. This man is special and is going to go down as an all time great.

Seeing that Leverkusen smashed Dortmund away and Betis are third in La Liga, for a bit of context

Thats what we were trying to tell ya. Its all good, glad he is working out for Celtic. In all honesty I didn't expect the transformation to be so quick but its great to see. The only concern I have is that the board haven't locked him down. Now, dont get me wrong, play your cards right and he will retire at Celtic. Come at him with a disrespectful offer which the board is more than capable of and he will walk. He would more than likely had a discussion about this. Think about what he has done to your club and what an amazing fit it is. He walked away from Brisbane when he wasn't pegged down and he walked away from Australia when he felt he wasn't getting supported. He has his own set of principles and values and the board cannot cross them.

Anyone who hasn't already done so should hunt down Ange's book.

It's a thoroughly interesting read and tells a great deal about why he is so different from the standard coach/manager and gives deep insight into his football philosophy. The stuff about player management is particularly interesting.

That's why I was a serial offender at calling him a football genius, but I wasn't the only one.
