It looked like one team had European know how and pedigree and the other came from some footballing backwater. Ironic considering background of both managers. Also an indictment on GVB and his team. Did they even prepare and watch any footage?

Holy *, yeah! We'd have kept some of our players, playing at their best too... *!

I was one that gave the aussie pelters about bigging ange up i was raging he came in and i am humbled we have him as manager I was so so wrong and if indeed Peter lawwel played a part in getting him then fair play he's a breath of fresh air and although it's heart in mouth sometimes what a journey we're on.... And it's only the start this was supposed to be a buffer year

So which board member first brought Postecoglou's name to the table when we were looking for a manager? Was it the now departed Dominic McKay, Michael Nicholson or dare I say it ...Peter Lawell? Whoever was responsible for the appointment of Postecoglou deserves a medal, its starting to look like an inspired move that other clubs in Europe did not have the foresight to make.

I remember Dom McKay claiming to have played a part, but it was very likely the CFG connection with the club that put him on the Celtic radar.

Then Dom would have said: Oh aye, ah've heard of the bhoy... eh's soond.

The best is yet to come as well. This isnt even full throttle AngeBall. I've seen pure unadulterated AngeBall for many years in the flesh. You honestly used to fear the day he would be playing your team. Wait till he gets to the required levels that he wants, it'll be unreal.

And indictment on English football when second tier clubs wouldn’t even give him a shot and you see duds like Steve Bruce just land his 28th job

That's the thing. Not to take away from Ange's achievement so far, which are better than any hoped for, but I never conceded the league this year.

The Huns last year were made to look like they were top tier by * poor competition. Every time someone actually stood up to them they fell short. I thought that with 2 good windows we might take them at the end of the season. I didn't expect us to look like staying ahead before the 2nd window closed...

Thanks for that, a very good article which I wish they wouldn’t print :giggle1: Don’t want any opposition working our system out. That first half was magical in the way we played.

For those who question why Taylor constantly gets selected, it highlights why Taylor plays more often than not. Taylor understands and executes the system.

I´ll gladly hold my hands up.

Was quite sceptical when he was appointed. I had never heard his name.

But o´boy, it´s great to be wrong every now and then.
That showing on Wednesday, with 9 in the starting XI his signings.
Even more impressive considering the state the squad was in when he took over.

In such short time being in the driver´s seat for the title, and in the process giving the other lot something to think about, is truly amazing.

Well done Sir, keep the good times coming!

This is what really excites me, imagine this team but with an extra year of playing/training Ange's way, the experience of winning a title, plus the improvements we could make with £30m and the promise of guaranteed champions league football.
