Maeda is ahead of him I'd say, for the way Ange wants the team to play. He definitely has a role to play though, could be a big impact player from the bench if we need to change things up, but I expect Kyogo (when fit) and Maeda to be our first choice strikers.

Thought he was class, just needed a goal to top it off but that second effort was a worldie of a saved.

His size ties up defenders. He should have scored from the O’riley cross or the header that Mcgregor beat away but he offers that physical edge and him making a nuisance of himself will indirectly lead to goals through penalties, corners, deflections, rebounds etc.

Worth noting that he is just getting a run of games now after a decent spell out.

Yes like everyone in that first half thought he was very good and very unlucky not to get a goal himself. He can definitely take confidence from that performance.

Certainly can, weren’t easy chances either apart from maybe the header but he had no right to even win that one. Can’t mind any other striker who managed to get that many chances in the first half of a Glasgow Derby or Old Firm.

I've been pretty scathing of him, but he's defo a handful and occupies defenders and frees up others around him to do their thing. Will have his uses, and I guess no harm if there's goals coming from elsewhere, I'm just over strikers who don't score goals for us.

Wasn't impressed so far but he worked hard last night at both ends

Thought he should have put 2 away, mcgregor gets praise for a couple of saves but the header and the sclaff shot from oriley should both been scored.

    Great work rate though.

Get the feeling it'll just click with him one game and he'll start banging them in. Maybe being a bit safe with his finishing due to confidence.

Every part of me wishes he scored that header over Bassey. Humiliation at its finest.

This was my point to people who wanted him dropped. His physicality, movement and enthusiasm are a pain in the * for opponents. He's also incredibly awkward, so they need to be careful with him to avoid penalties.

Could he be more clinical? Of course! But if the answer to that was no, we couldn't have gotten/afforded him. I think he's gonna be a good replacement for Griffith - a blunt instrument, but effective, only without the baggage and bad attitude. I just wish one had gone in for him, he feels like he's only a spark away from igniting; and I think there's a small undercurrent in the fans that feels that too... Stand over the fact he might be another that frustrates with his highs and lows

Had a bit of the Samaras about him, difficult to deal with and a little awkward, nightmare for defenders. We do need him, we don't have any physicality in the front half of the pitch

And we never will with Kyogo and Maeda sharing the role, but we'd probably have scored more the other night with Kyogo on from the start!

I agree these were good chances but what I like about him is his movement in the box to get on the end of crosses.

I liked his goal vs Hearts. The defender wasnt moving him, it was Hartson-esque the way he stood his ground with the man at his back.
He showed the power he has with the run and jump on Goldson. He wanted it.
I think it will come for him. Just need to keep giving him service, which I think O’Riley, Abada, Hatate will.

he had a good game. But know what I like?

He is in opponents faces when * goes down. He is up there standing up to * and even during play he does get himself into the aggressive aerial duels....goes down like a pansy at times but what footballer doesn't.
He can be a very useful player especially those murky away days...like Motherwell this Sunday

Glad we're starting to give him the recognition. He has put in some solid shifts. It's not all about scoring. He bullied the orc defence on Wednesday, something we had been missing from our front players. Only for the heroics of the beast he may well have bagged a double for himself.

I really like the big fella. He put in some shift the other night. He gives us something different. I am looking forward to him and Kyogo as a possible partnership.

He is getting there, putting in a shift and noising up defenders, getting in their face. Defiantly starts for me Sunday, empty the tank then hook him. He really needs to be more clinical with the chances he is getting. Still, he is getting into good positions, so there is hope for him.
