Clearly lacking confidence, plays well enough in the build-up then fluffs his lines when the goal's on.

Bad game aside cause I think that can happen to anyone from time to time...

He needs to vary his movement in the box..he always ends up basically in the 6 years box when a ball comes in.

See as bad as he was today, he could have still had a couple if it hadn’t been for two very good saves and Abada shooting when squaring it would have led to a certain goal.

Bad day today, but can we stop saying he's got something after he scores and then back to saying he's pish after a goalless game? Has shown promising signs this year and looks like he can play a part for us. He's going to be our main striker on Wednesday night so let's get behind the guy.

Probably knew how bad a game he had. Instead of sulking he’s bombing up the touch line to celebrate the winner in the corner.

On to the next on big man.

I’m not convinced by him, but I always felt that after his interview before the match he was going to have a stinker, was talking like he’s proved himself now because of a couple of goals.

He’s gonna learn quickly that you are only as good as your last game here at Celtic, you need to be contributing all the time, even when having a stinker you’ve got to find ways to contribute.

He was absolutely * yesterday. Weirdly I think he will score against the huns though. I might actually bet him first goalscorer.

I noticed that the ‘world class’ Siegrest save wasn’t even on target. So the save actually masked him missing an open goal from 4 yards.

    Have a day off ffs.

Absolute doom merchants on one of the biggest/best days of the season so far.

Silent when he’s scoring a back heel at Tynecastle, but can’t wait to comment after a bad game.

    It’s so boring.

Didn't have the best of games yesterday but the huns struggled yesterday against county's big strong striker so I'd be tempted to start him for that alone

If on Wed its no happening for him by half time I'd shift Abada into his position.

    Hope he turns up..

Will probably be better with Jota starting left and Abada right..

Jota laid it on a plate but needs to put yesterday behind him. Can't have another stinker like that..

Jota. Abada. Both played him in yesterday. Than O'Riley and Hatate behind and even a Juranovic. He'll get chances, guaranteed..

To early to judge. He is miles behind others because of injuries and fitness, poor strikers do not get top scorer in the Dutch league. He will improve I'm sure.

I don’t disagree, but there’s a strange pattern with Eredivise top scorers not being able to produce when they move on.

    Luuk De Jong
Alireza Jahanbakhsh (Not a ST tbf)
    Nicolai Jorgenson (Stayed and stagnated)
    Vincent Janssen
Memphis Depay (took time to be a success)
    Alfred Finnbogason

You could keep going. Some have had great success like Suarez, some have had spells, some have been horrific like the famous Afonso Alves.

And its our biggest game in years in 3 days time. We are entitled to be concerned about him starting this game. If he starts showing more, ill be the first one to say I got it wrong and congratulate the lad. In fact, I would be delighted to do so. He cost us 2 points against Livingston, and should have burst the net yesterday having been handed it on a plate. It took a 91st minute winner to get us out of jail. Right now he is nowhere near Celtic class.

Without been at the level he was against the diets I really didn't think he was bad yesterday either. Unlucky not to score and that save by their keeper with his trailing leg in the second half was unreal.

I certainly hope so and I do expect him to get the start. Personally as good as Abada has been I think he would struggle physically against the zombies center backs whereas Giakoumakis should be fine physically and with Abada looking good on the right yesterday and Jota on the left we should be able to get Giakoumakis enough service to score. I remember a few seasons ago when the rat played Mikey Johnson up front and it was a disaster as he just got smothered physically so I expect us to go with Giakoumakis. For both him and McCarthy given I expect him to start as the 6 this is a pivotal game for them in terms of their Celtic careers.
