Fairly quiet from him, Japan won 2-0, I was only half watching but he wasn't too involved, pressed a lot and linked sone passes, didn't see him get any particular chances at goal

If he doesn’t start vs Saudi Arabia I wouldn’t be surprised if we private jet him back for the Huns…

Yeah that’ll definitely happen, we’ll private jet a guy back from international duty because he doesn’t start a couple of games :56:

I think giakoumakis deserves to start versus the huns.

So do I. He is a big unit and has a good eye and feet for a goal. Get the big lad broke right in with some hun skelping.

Not a chance we will get a private jet and fly him back.

It will be economy class on Saudi Arabia’s equivalent to Ryanair.

Thinks it’s a certainty this happens now after Ange’s quotes.

Pretty sure we used a private jet to get Barkas back for huns game last year due to rising covid cases in Greece. Obviously that turned out a disaster and Japan is far further flight n costs but we do have a major shareholder with access to a private jet bout time we got some use out of the old *

Alert Ange Postecoglou is refusing to rule out Celtic duo Daizen Maeda and Tom Rogic's chances of being back for Wednesday’s clash for Rangers - even if he believes it's a long shot.

The attacking duo are out of Saturday’s encounter against Dundee United having also missed the midweek win at Hearts due to international commitments.

Japanese Maeda and Australian Rogic are both on World Cup duty and face matches on Tuesday for their countries against Saudi Arabia and Oman respectively.

Postecoglou has made it clear that having them available for the top-of-the-table Premiership is a long shot due to travel.

More crucially, he’s also intimated that it would be virtually impossible if Maeda and Rogic play any part in the Tuesday games for their nations with the Rangers encounter coming up the very next day.

But Postecoglou will keep an eye on the situation as he ensures to cover all bases.

He explained: “I think they both play the day before. If they both play, you are not going to play two games in 48 hours, or 24 hours.

“It’s unlikely. On a manager’s salary, I don’t have a private jet that might be able to get them here. A lot of that will depend on whether they have played.

“I expect Tommy will play most definitely because Australia have a big game. Daizen played on Thursday, so a lot will depend on them playing.

“It’s a possibility, but if they have played the night before, even if we can get them here on time, it’s still hard.”

One could almost say a bit like Edouard then?

Very like Edouard, if by that you mean the complete opposite.

Eddie's strengths (touch, close control, dribbling, speed) are Giak's weaknesses and vice-versa (Strength,.aerial ability, willingness to attack cross balls)

This is a whole different proposition for them than the forward lines we've been selecting the last few seasons. Jota & Forrest fizzing balls high & low into Giak with Hatate & O'Riley arriving late for the 2nd balls.

If Maeda makes it back from Internationals then he can be another option from the bench to be direct as they're tiring and the game is more.stretched.

    This.

As much as Id love to see Maeda start against der Hun, even the notion of this private jet lark is mental.

If anything, a sub. And only that.
