Exactly, 4 weeks is more than enough time for the injury to settle down and a timescale to h
be confirmed. Every interview up until now he has suggested it isn't too serious.

Ange doesn't seem like a good liar. He's always been straight to the point with interviews in terms confirming timescales - Jota, Turnbull etc. But this time he's really keeping his cards close to his chest which isn't like him, which in my opnion would make sense if Kyogo wasn't quite fit for he internationals but could potentially make the 2nd. Stuff like this happens before most Derbys

I'm no medical expert but maybe it's not healed as they were expecting and surgery is a possibility? Maybe just waiting a bit longer to see if it heals without needing surgery. Hence not being able to give a time frame.

It's either something like that or Ange being clever to keep him from getting called up and deploy him for the hun game.

Only upside of this long lay off is that he needed a break from his season in Japan anyway so when he's back he shouldnt need rested

'We're looking at a number of weeks'.

    And that number is 1.5

The Celtic boss admitted the Japanese striker is facing months out but he rubbished rumours the fans’ favourite has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign.

Kyogo, who may require surgery on the problem, played through the pain barrier to help Celts win the Premier Sports Cup last month but picked up further damage in the win against St Johnstone before the winter break.

Postecoglou has drafted in Daizen Maeda and has Gio Giakoumakis fit again – and Jullien is set to end 13 months absence against Alloa in the Scottish Cup on Saturday night.

The Hoops gaffer is gutted about Kyogo but said: “He’s not out for the rest of the season. I can assure you of that.

“Kyogo’s injury is more significant than we were hoping it would be and he will be out for a number of weeks.

“It’s not going to be a quick return.

“I don’t know how long and I don’t want to put a timeframe on it.

“Mainly because of Kyogo himself, plus we are still getting him assessed and we need it to settle before we get a definitive answer on it.

“But he will be out for a number of weeks and that is disappointing for us and also Kyogo.

“He loves playing for this club and he can’t wait to be back out there.

“Kyogo is really disappointed and I feel for him because he put his body on the line for us.

“To be fair to him, he wasn’t 100 per cent for the cup final but he scored two goals and helped us win it.

“That is testament to him as a player and a character.

“A lot of people would have taken a different option, so I am gutted for him.

“Kyogo did all he could for this football club and I am hoping that because he got the rewards forthat cup final performance, it’s enough to sustain him through this period out.

“He deserves to come back better than ever and he will.

“Kyogo is that type. Whatever timeframe is put on his recovery, he will beat it.

“He is such a determined person and he loves playing for Celtic.

“The fact he can’t go out and perform is hurting him but we will provide him with support.

“I am sure whatever recovery time is needed, he will do his best to be back as soon as possible.”

That sounds like more than 1.5 weeks. If it’s surgery then we can expect it to be 8 weeks or so. *.

Sounds unlikely though that he will make the zombies game on Februray 2nd. Lets hope Giakoumakis can come good over these next couple of weeks because it looks like he is about to get his chance now to show us he can be a success at Celtic over these next 4 games.

Don’t see any chance he’s ready for the Huns game considering he’s still seeing specialists to see whether he should get surgery or not.

I've got a feeling he'll make the bench for the huns game.

Don't think he'll get on the pitch though, it's something I think Ange will do to put the * into sevco by seeing his name on the team sheet.

I read that as fairly positive from the Japan manager?

Extremely positive from our end. Am I reading that wrong?

I read it word for word as "we hate the huns aswel so we've left him back in Glasgow to smash them"

We did think that about the Cup Final too, he recovers quickly.. Wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench..

He was clearly * and unable to play yet won us the cup. Thats probably why people think ange is playing mind games. Oh yea we also was certainly not signing another player. His words. Yet we did. A player he spoke to.
