I'm the same, I wished at the time he would just walk but the way some people went on about him was disgraceful. Guy went through the ringer for Celtic, getting sent bullets in the post, people running onto the pitch to lamp him. Aye, it did look like he was staying to pick up a checque in the end, but he had a contract and the board told him to stay on. And even if he'd walked, we'd have probably had John Kennedy until the end of the season anyway.

 

Was 100% a fall guy for the board who sold 10iar down the swanny when they appointed Lennon as unit was always the cheapest option. He still should have walked sooner even if like someone else said it would have meant Kennedy being in charge.

 

He fully lost the dressing room. He never dealt with covid restrictions well. He buckled under the pressure. None of that makes people dislike him. The fact he called fans spoiled among other things was when he clearly lost his status and fans fully turned on him. Fans are fickle, but lennons attitude towards them was a disgrace.

The guy took a winning machine and turned us into a laughing stock, domestically and in Europe. This massive rebuilding job we’re in the middle of is thanks to Lennon and the board.

Tbh I'm not checking wen the last post , I'm only looking at the anger and abuse leveled at him , and it's pretty sad for a player and manager who only wanted to give his all for our club , for me to see our fans do that does not sit easy as in my mind I think we are better than that .

Lawwell aside, the people who thought it would be a good idea to replace Brendan Rodgers with Lennon are still making decisions at Celtic.

You can get lucky every now and again with a managerial appointment, hopefully Ange will turn out to be successful. But to be leaving such decisions down to chance shows we've still got very little strategy going forward. This is why we'll never be successful in Europe or hold down domestic dominance.

As bad as the Bolton stories are, the accounts provided by guys like Joe Ledley, Kelvin Wilson and Kris Commons are no better.

No video analysis, hardly any tactics or shape, days off and even players such as Commons pleading to get into starting XI in CL games and Lennon ripping up his team and agreeing to it. *!???

I think the board got very lucky with Ange, they only appointed him originally because of the links with City.

Turns out he's a good manager and a top guy to boot, but that's in spite of the board, not because of them imo.
