    Aside from the fact that he's not exactly been incredibly prolific in Iran or the UAE, why would we want to spend decent money on another striker on top of Kyogo/Maeda/Giakomakis/Kenny/Dawson?

    Hmm… I trust Ange fully but I do have my reservations about this boy. Doesn’t seem to have set the heather alight in the places he has been. Potential may be there though. Haven’t seen anything of him and don’t really judge YouTube videos

    I hope this hasn't came about because of complications with the Jota deal.

    Looks a very similar profile and seems strange we would be so proactive in going for another player for LW, unless we were offloading Johnston and/or Montgomery

    It’s not, don’t worry. Ange wants a winger who can play on either side. If he thinks this lad fits the bill then fair enough.

    He does have an element of Jota about it, but I’ll take that!

    Johnston and Montgomery should be nowhere near the team in the second half of the season.

    Don't disagree with that at all but when has our board ever not tried to cut some corners?

    A few million £ on top of the £6m we're supposedly paying for Jota seems a big outlay for them.

    Sincerely hope I'm wrong on that and we're finally backing a manager to the hilt but I'm cynical.

    The board have many flaws, but Jota is as close to a guaranteed money maker as we’re ever likely to see.

    Ange wants/needs depth. Another winger is a necessity in that, especially when MJ isn’t rated and Dembele’s future is unclear at best.

    Not sure if anybody has said this already but there might be something in this if I remember Ange mentioned Iran as a place he was looking at for players possibly along with Korea and Asia in general....could also just be people putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 so who knows, he's apparently not long signed for his team either so doesn't look like it would be easy to get him
