    Transfers not everything for CEO but they are definitely a big part.. To announce 3 players from Japan at the same time before the window is actually open with detail involved in each deal is certainly impressive..

    I'm the first to berate the board and its members. But today is a good day and the first good sign from Nicholson.

    Of course 3 Japanese signings in one day is pushed by Ange, clearly these are players he has requested and pushed on.

    But Nicholson has shown two things in getting these done.
    1. Timing is brilliant, no * around and no waiting things off.
    We often get fed the line that we can't announce things when stock market is closed at weekends and * like that. So brilliant to see the idea here is to announce it before the window opens on a weekend, and not be content to drag it out, even for a couple of days.

    2. He's listening to the manager and getting what the manager wants.

    Keep this up and get working hard on the structure of the club and we maybe have someone willing to show some forward thinking of the football club and not just the balance sheet (both can be done at the same time).

    No getting carried away but it's deffo a good sign..

    Ange clearly getting an input and that's also a sign of a good relationship and trust built up..

    McKay was all over the place by all account's. We can all remember the rat wanting McGinn in in what should've been a straight forward transfer. Lawwell * it though so just because the manager wants it, doesn't mean it's always delivered due to tightness/incompetence..

    We had Hammond and Congerton who were a disgrace for us in term's of transfer dealings and who they pin pointed..

    There's been a noticeable change this season..

    We still need a director of football IMO.

    A club of our size to not have someone in that role or at least something similar in this day and age isn't good enough for me.

    I think so too, but would you force one on Ange if he didn't want one...? He's said before 'do I need one?'.. Maybe a head of recruitment will be announced soon.

    He’ll be getting his knuckles wrapped by the board. These type of signings are meant to be made the day before the window closes, not the day before it opens.

    It is a good start for him tbf, canny really fault the Board if they fully back the manager, as already mentioned they really should engage with supporters whenever possible, as a business you want to have the paying customer onside, division is never healthy.
