So we know he wasn't making it for New Years but what about February is that still too soon? Any update at all that I've missed? We get our injuries sorted and strengthen in Jan I can honestly see us going on a phenomenal win streak.

 

6 weeks from when he picked up the injury was the talk

 

So theoretically we should see him back to full training by the end of this three week break.

 

It'll be like a new signing lol

 

He'll be back for the Huns I'm sure..

 

What about the Jot-a?

 

Considering we will for sure be without both Rogic and Turnbull we badly need him to be fully fit for that one.

 

Jorge Jesus has been fired. Not sure if will have any effect in relation to Jota, but great news for all Benfica youth players in general.

I thought the option to buy couldn’t be rescinded by the parent club? So if we were willing to pay the pre agreed fee then the transfer would proceed, I may be wrong.

 

I don't think your wrong at all. The deal is already done or at least the price already agreed and there to be paid by Celtic if we can persuade Jota himself to sign a long term deal with us. At this point the only issue I believe is whether the player himself wants to sign a long term deal with us.

I appreciate that but I think it would be a bit of a surprise in the case of Jota if he didn’t want to stay, he doesn’t give me the vibe that he has delusions of grandeur like Guidetti and has clearly flopped at Valladolid and didn’t get given much of a look in at Benfica. Always a possibility but it would surprise me if that was why the deal didn’t happen.

If they get in a manager who’ll promote youth and give him a chance he could end up wanting to give Benfica another go considering he’s a fan as well.
