Edinburgh uni!?

Any of my fellow bhoys and ghirls gonna be at Edinburgh Uni in September? I'm starting and I can't freaking wait!!

Lucky *. Edinburgh is the mutts nuts for nights out. Much better than Glasgow.

 

Studying medicine mate, its gonna be some workload I reckon! Still, I'll work hard and play hard!

 

My mate is starting there in September.

 

Medicine offt! Thats a hard course. Edinburgh was my insurance choice, but i got into Strathy.

 

Edinburgh is my third choice for next September.. My first choice is Glasgow Uni and then Caledonian Uni.. ( I thought Caledonain was better for what I was planning to study (psychology) but I've been told by a few people that Glasgow is definitely better)

 

Hopefully meet up with some of you guys during our time at uni! Looking forward to many a night out! What are you guys all studying?

Edinburgh Uni are twats, ... Well on course to get all my grades needed and more, and they still never even gave me a conditional. was well pisseed off.
I think its cos i live in england though. Despite being 100% Scottish!! and proud

 

I went to Strathclyde, graduated 5 years ago. The union there was brilliant. To any Strathy Students, is DJ Phil still there? He used to threaten every year that it was his last!

 

I went to Cali mate. Don't go there, it's pish.

 

What was it that was pish about it mate?

So far, my big cousin and MissKarris, who both go there, have told me not to and to apply for Glasgow..

There was no sense of campus life there mate. I found most of my lecturers to be uninspiring and impersonal, the lectures were almost always dull. It just felt like a glorified college. I also think it doesn't look as good on the C.V unfortunately. A job candidate should be judged on merit, not what Uni they went to. But that's the way of the world.

Honestly, I'd recommend Glasgow Uni. For all its ponceyness, and the fact you will struggle to find someone actually not middle-class, or from the city of Glasgow, it's a better university with more prestige.

 

You told me once on msn not to go there .. but I'm just wondering.. what is it that makes it so bad... everybody I've spoken to about Uni choices (only about 5 people) have said not to go there...

 

I hear they've done away wae the Asylum, is this true? Where do you drink now?!?!

Yeh I'll be there in September, doing Maths, Stats and Exploring the Cosmos in my first year. If it's Psychology you're doing I think you'll be in the same faculty as me.
