Joe Hart was important for the win but I do think he should've come for that corner. Just as he should've come for the corner at I-*-brox.

Still, it could've been a different game without his saves so well done Joe.

As for Kyogo, the first touch and finish for his first was absolutely world class. Second goal (different foot) was class in a different way - positioning, timing of the run, knowing where the keeper was, instinctive first touch lob...

Desperately want him to stay but that kind of finishing demands attention. Best we spread rumours about how terribly crocked he always is.

Wanna win a penalty running into a crowded penalty box ? Stop suddenly for no reason and have a defender run into your back. Or stub your boot toe into the turf and trip yourself over. Do refs see all that ?

No doubt about it there is no questioning the character and resilience of this team already. A long way to go yet as a team but amazing how much progress has been made so quickly.

Yep. Last season we would never win that game. Certainly no in normal time anyway..

To win with 10 in the 97th minute on Wednesday and go again in a final and go behind second half, then come back and be in the lead again within what, 15 minute's? Some going..

Today told us a lot in so many way's about this squad and management. Bodes very well..

Never take these Cup Wins for granted after that pish we watched last season.

Fans were * top notch, as always. Bouncing and singing the whole time. Daft teuchter * with their pishy union jack flags were silent all game.

Kick on and clear the lot Ange :ange:

And it just always makes these days all the sweeter knowing how much it hurts them.

We were not at our best but over the 90 minutes no question we deserved the win and Kyogo's second goal was worthy of winning any final to put it mildly. To come from the utter shambles we were on day 1 of pre-season to winning the league cup today is remarkable. There is no question we are far from the finished article still but there is the makings of something special there and certainly this group already has shown we have mental toughness, character and drive in abundance.

    One down two to go!

First half was a good controlled performance and if Starfelt could head a ball we would have been in front as we deserved. Again in the second half he missed a sitter and proceeded to have a stinker. Sitting out during the week may do him a favour.

Today showed again we lack quality options in the wide attacking positions. Jota would obviously occupy one of those but he’s only on loan just now. After centre mid it is the most urgent area of the team needing attention for me.

On decisions in the game again we get hysteria over a so called penalty, having watched it multiple times I am still not convinced there is enough in that for a penalty, if there was you would have about ten penalties a game. Michael Stewart who was shouting for the penalty had just a minute before ridiculed a freekick we got for more of a push by Doige on Starfelt claiming it was “never a foul” so to shout stonewall penalty a minute later for a similar possibly even less contact Incident was absolutely ridiculous and pathetic. The desperation from the commentators was similarly pathetic.

Aye I didn’t see a penalty at all. He made no pushing motion and if putting your hands on someone is a stonewall then it would be penalties all around in every game played. Stewart was hamming it up a bit I think.

At full speed, first time I saw it I thought '*! That's a definite penalty!', so I'm not gonna knock a commentator for doing the same...

Secondly, it's very rare for anyone on TV to change their mind after seeing a replay. If they're wrong they usually just go silent. Maybe waffle a bit about how it's questionable etc. Never had Stewart down as anti-celtic, so think he just called it as he saw it and stuck with it, as there was no definitive evidence one way or the other.

I'd need to see more than just the highlights I've seen on a tiny wee phone screen to call it, but it's a very dangerous thing Starfelt did. Even if faultless in the end, he gave the ref a chance to get at us, which most would've usually snapped up.

Third point, still can't help this will all still play out in us getting kicked all over the field against the Huns under the banner of 'all evens out' for the run of 'decisions in our favour recently'... Maybe I'm just paranoid?

We need to ask why is there an agenda to make refereeing look naturally poor ,non biased ,even now from supposed fair pundits , is it us, are we looking at things through green tints .
I always try to be realistic and keep an open and fair mind , not over react , now I look at taylors poss pen , he is clearly pushed 2 hands ,to put him of his control before the ball arrives slight clip too , based on wot we are seeing as pens just now its a pretty dam good 80% fair shout ,hardly a mention and I was actually livid it was not getting a mention until all the drama made of the starfelt possible was picked over and over and over.

Starfelts looks like attacker gets infront of him steadies himself before shooting , starfelt puts the brakes on and hand on him to stop himself crashing into the back of him , attacker goes to ground feeling his hand , 60% shout, soft if given .
No mention of 2 wrong offside calls again ,1 corner not given .

This is how *-poor the BBC are at actual factual reporting….

…. If their pet club isn’t in it then neither is their attention.

you only have to look at the hibs goal ,the guy marking taylor was climbing over him as the ball arrived in that area ,maybe taylor should have stronger but it was a free out and not a word about it
