haha, while not saying I told you so as such I'm just glad you guys have now got a real idea of just WHY we so passionately follow the man and why we were so happy for his appointment at your great club. Never suggested he could "do no wrong" as someone said but he has been a winner wherever he's gone and more importantly he's just a quality human who gives his all and that's why his players and supporters alike will follow him anywhere. Some called it * licking and that wasn't it at all but hard not to want to see him succeed when you get to know him and just how passionate he is but also how much he respects the game and the fans and traditions of the club he's representing.

May it be the first of many trophies for the big man and Celtic!

They took absolute pelters for weeks I wouldn't blame them one bit if they did. In this country we get really offended when people look down on and criticize our game however lots of people on here did the same to Postecoglou Australian and Japanese football.

I’m delighted for him. I’m not sure a Celtic manager has been left with such a poor squad in a long time and he’s in here getting us trophies again already.

I’m excited to see what we’ll be like with more of his targets in. If we * the league up this year it’ll be because of the lack of action over the summer and at the start of the season.

Its brilliant to see, one of the things for years is we ponder and take ages over throw ins and free kicks, soon as the ball goes out or we get a free kick that not in a dangerous area the balls is back in play and moving very fast, we don't give teams any respite.

    Hi folks

This is my first post here. I have been following the conversations since June when Ange was appointed, but now seems like a good time to jump in.

As a Just Another B* Australian (JABA) I cringed when I read posts by some of the Aussie boys early on. Ange has a lot going for him, and I have mostly been a fan, but I was a bit ambivalent. I am still disappointed that having gotten the Australian national team to 2018 WC he quit and left the team manager-less 6 months out from the finals. Not good.

    A couple of thoughts…

    · At this early stage, it seems that the Other Mob will be a tougher proposition under the new manager than they would have been under Gerrard. Van Bronckhorst seems like a much better manager than Gerrard.

    · I get the importance of prioritising the league this year. First, it is the high prestige trophy, and more importantly, it brings a lot of cash to the club via CL qualification. This not only helps us, but it also puts the Other Mob at a distinct disadvantage financially.

    · If we don’t manage to overturn the current 4 point lead that the ‘Other Mob’ have in the league, and there is still a pretty good chance we will, it need not be the end of the world because:

o High priced players do not always deliver

o High priced players often come with big egos and don’t always fit well into the team system that Ange is seeking to implement

o Ange has already proven he can sniff out high-quality players at bargain prices.

o His knowledge of the Asian market is pretty deep, and he knows that in Japan, South Korea, Iran (and even in Oz ) there are unknown gems who could make it in Scottish football. Some of them will arrive in January (He also knows about the Sth Americans as well.)

o Ange has demonstrated that he can revive the careers of current players. See Rogic, Ralston, Bitton (and I think Mikey Johnston too)

o Ange is beginning to demonstrate that he can bring on the young guys and academy players as well.(Shaw, Henderson, Moffat, Montgomery etc.)

It would be much more preferable to win the league, absolutely, but all need not be lost if it does not happen this time.

And, when Covid settles (if ever), Celtic should definitely plan for a summer preseason. Australia/Asian tour. Games against local clubs would sell out big stadiums in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. And I expect that would be the case in Japan as well.

Fantastic post. Think I can speak for the full support when I say. The big man is what we want as a Celtic manager. Attacking and sticks up for the support and the fabric of our club. I’ll swallow my pride in saying I was dubious at first a couple of windows and we will be frightening

Too early to say “I told you so”.

I did however, say that this was excited I had ever been as a Celtic fan. I think a few more of you now understand why.

There is still work to be done. 4 more matches until the winter break and we need minimum 10 points to stay in this title race.

Then Ange needs to bring at least 4 or 5 bodies through the door in January.

For now… so far so good.

It has been very conspicuous this season how quickly we get the ball back in play. Very much a feature of Ange's high tempo and high intensity style.

I don’t think any of us will ever say I told you say. But the * we copped when he was first signed was pretty full on. All because we had belief in him.
I’m just pleased that you’re all starting to see what we know.
It’s a long long way to go and he’s far from perfect, but he’s a * of a manager and you’ll love the ride.
Now to go undefeated over Christmas and beat sevco in January.

We're each entitled to our opinions.

In my opinion, that is one of the worst takes I've ever read.
