What a man… what a motivational speaker as well would love to be a fly on the wall pre match for this final tomorrow. Hope to * we win especially for the big man… if we do, it will propel us onto something special

 

I remember Lennon saying before the hun final in the prematch interview that he didn't need to speak to the team as they already knew their jobs and what they needed to do.

You just cannae see Ange wasting that time. He'll be drilling the players and pumping them up right up until they're out on the pitch.

 

why would he be waiting in a queue? and where is that?

If at the start of the season Celtic fans were told that Ange Postecoglou as Celtic manager would be 4 points behind Rangers in the SPL a week away from Christmas, and playing and beating Hibs in the League Cup final in 2021, they would turn around and call you a loony.

The amount of negative feedback on this thread regarding Ange's appointment, as well as the amount of emotional investment placed on Eddie Howe was amazing. Why ?

Howe had done nothing at Bournemouth, and he will do nothing at Newcastle.

Ange had managed at domestic level, World Club Cup level, international level, at the World Cup, won the Asian Cup with Australia ( European Nations Cup equivalent), qualified his team for the World Cup, won the national title twice in successive years in Australia, and the national title in his second year in Japan.

In terms of experience, Ange had the credentials of a seasoned manager/coach. However he was an 'Australian' and seen as a colonial and an ethnic, with a strange name that was hard to pronounce, who would founder in Scotland and bring further misery to Celtic and the fans. The Scottish football Media were looking for a victim to maul.

In Ange Postecoglou they found a man made of stronger stuff who had faith in his own abilities. He assessed the dreaded situation the club was in terms of squad strength and worked with what he had available and settling into life in Glasgow. In fact in the early days he looked quite haggard at times, testament to the amount of hours he was putting in at the club, not finding certain structures in place that one would expect. He also had not brought any support staff of his own to help him in this massive task he had undertaken.

Being at Celtic is a work in progress for him and a learning experience as well. Being at a new club always is.

I am confident in saying that Celtic fans would at this time, be very happy to have Ange Postecoglou as the Celtic manager.

 

Truly a man of the people and a man of humble beginnings I love this guy. He comes across as very forthright and fearless.

 

End of this season I hope we get some behind the scenes clips of him giving his team talks and instructions etc

Massive credit to Ange and his team. From the size of the rebuild we knew we were facing to winning a trophy at the first attempt. Absolutely buzzing. Thanks big man.
