Giorgos Giakoumakis

Appears to be. I thought he was meant to be a couple of weeks away as recently as last week or so? Desperately need him back even if he hasn't shown all that much. He clearly knows where the goal is given his record in the Netherlands last season. Much better having some form of focal point than none whatsoever like we saw today. Hopefully back soon because would much rather see more of him than Ajeti.

 

Forgot we signed him…

 

It was reported he was going to miss the cup final, last week I think it was. He had a clear up (minor op) on his knee apparently. They said 2- 3 weeks then but that seems a standard time they put on all our injuries.

 

At this point we are probably looking at him not been back till after the winter break really. Hopefully he along with a few others like Jullien who need the fitness work can get in a good mini pre-season during the winter break and be ready after.

Aye it must be * to sign for a club whilst injured. Completely behind the rest of the guys but hopefully he can be a decent player

 

* for both him and us that he's been injured twice in the times it was perfect for him to step up and get full games under his belt. Fingers crossed this is the last of his injuries this season because we will need him.

 

Guy is a * sick note signed in the summer and then not seen for months and plays a few games and disappears for weeks again and whenever he is fit really needs to hit the ground running when he comes into the side but if he's out again for a long period again I think the club Need to maybe think about his future at the club .

 

Hes a non entity for me.

Another low millions transfer fee pished up against the wall.

 

He's literally had about 2 starts...

Frustrating for everyone, but far too early to form an opinion one way or another.

 

I am hoping that over the winter break he is able to do a proper pre-season so to speak so that when we come back he is actually fully fit and able to play and contribute from there. The facts are we signed a player who was not fit and recovering from a fairly significant injury and that is on us as a club not him as a player. So for me it is too early to say whether he is good enough to make it at Celtic or not.

 

I'm starting to think Samaras was an anomaly when it comes to Greek footballers...

 

He'll be ready for next pre season. This seasons a write off. Seen this type of * a hundred times.

 

Think the guy underestimated the pace and physicality of the Scottish game. He'll probably "struggle for fitness" all season until we get him a move in the summer to Panathenaikos or something.

 

Way to early to judge him. There's still hope

Underestimated our league, But could score 30 goals in the Dutch league

 

One good season doesn't make him the second coming of Van Nistelrooy. Better players than Giakoumakis have come to Scotland expecting an easy ride and got found out.
