He needs a goal

 

Deffo needs a goal, that's the thing that's holding him back mentally I think. Can see him gradually getting more confident as the games go by, and that goal will just give him the final push. Excited at the thought of it tbh.

 

He needs to stop trying to take the goalpost out from the fkn root , a deflection a miss hit is just as good .

 

Looked like he played pretty well from the highlights. Did he pick up a knock or something to get substituted?

 

First half I thought his first touch was brutal at time's. Bounced off or overhit his touch a couple of time's..

Played a nice fizzed ball in to Abada that cut them open and Abada should've done better with the shotvor squared it..

 

He had a decent game without in fairness been anywhere near the level he is capable of. As said above he really needs a goal to. He did not seem to be limping off so hopefully not an injury. I am thinking he came on after about 15 minutes and was subed off after about 75 minutes so maybe it was just a case of managing his minutes given he is only recently back from injury and that is him playing an hour there after playing also on Thursday night.

 

Really needs a goal, quite telling he didn't start even with all our injuries and a 1/2 fit Forrest..

 

I still think he'll come good if he stays fit. Just needs a run of games to get his confidence back. It's no wonder he hasn't progressed much as he's hardly played the last couple of years but the talent's still there.

We definitely need to add Maeda for up top and a winger also..

Mikey can't be trusted/relied upon
Forrest can't be relied upon
A lot of football for Jota
Abada will have ups and downs

We need someone else with quality..

 

Hopefully he makes it for tomorrow night as with Forrest out now we really could do with Johnston being able to play.

 

Sick note

 

I reckon a cupla week in Bar-L might do the trick for wee Mikey…

 

He has the attributes but seems to have something missing, most likely confidence. During lennons last reign he had a good run of about 15-20 games and showed that he has the ability when he gets a run. He scored some good goals then and was close to establishing himself but injury curtailed that. Time is running out for him to make it here but if we let him go too soon I think we would regret it

 

Made his mandatory 15 appearances already, won't be seen again until next pre season.

 

Beat his man plenty and was almost class..

Just that final bit still no quite there yet..

It's coming..

 

Just needs to keep being positive, it will come
