Hope to * this is true because that would be much better than what I was thinking after the game and this morning under the circumstances.

Saw someone posting on KDS that it's not as bad as first feared . Then followed up by saying not a Jota situation

I don't remember too many injuries during the Invincibles season.

Think Moussa got a hammy in the semi final which ruled him out for the rest of the season but that was in April.

Griffiths seemed to have ongoing calf issues throughout the season. Can't remember any other muscle-related injuries that season.

Thought Rodgers' second season was far worse, long periods without Armstrong, Roberts, Dembele, Rogic.

I mind one game Rodgers was playing Rogic as a lone striker cause of all the hamstring injurires. Think it was in Europe. Fair play to rogic....bu he cannae run....thats the one bad point of his game

CELTIC manager Ange Postecoglou says he has no regrets about playing Kyogo against Real Betis, even though his star striker picked up a hamstring injury which could sideline him for weeks.

Postecoglou decided to put Kyogo on in the final fixture of Celtic’s Europa League campaign when Albian Ajeti also pulled up with a hamstring injury after half an hour of the match, even though his team were already eliminated from the competition.

The club are now awaiting news from a scan to determine how long the Japanese forward will be sidelined, but Postecoglou says that it would have been against his instincts to keep Kyogo on the bench.

“It’s frustrating,” Postecoglou said. “Those are the decisions you make as a manager. You probably have a sleepless night thinking about the different scenarios.

“But my whole ethos has always been that you go out there and you go for things. You never hold back.

“It has served me well up until now and I’ll continue to do that with the way I want my team to play and the decisions I make.

“It’s just my nature to be more aggressive than sometimes people think I need to be. But we will get our rewards because of that.”

He's absolutely *-minded. If we don't see those rewards, these decisions and statements will be his undoing. It's one thing if you lose having taken a calculated risk, it's another if it's a consequence of gambles no one can see the point in. Still reserving judgment but he doesn't half make me nervous.

If you watch it happen to a player it's a sudden change in movement that causes it , something the body and brain was not ready for , a slip and over extention , applying the brakes suddenly to turn , a clip on your leg running at pace , all seen to trigger this issue , I remember seeing player train maybe 20 years ago running backwards, something I don't see anymore , always felt it was to strengthen hammys.

Liverpool had massive hamstring issues in Klopp’s first season. Ever since, people think Liverpool are “absolutely blessed” to have barely any injuries ever. Think back to their title winning season.. don’t think they had a single important player out injured all season.

One of the problems is players are finally tuned to peak fitness like guitar strings, but 1 wee pop the wrong way and they are gone, guys like Dixie deans, even McAvennie were all good striker s, fairly fit aswell but they weren’t finally tuned athletes like a lot of players in those days carried a small amount of fat around their midriff thighs and leg’s giving them some elasticity when turning quick or doing a short burst and they very rarely ever injured

They must have changed their training regime. I'm all for high intensity but if it's destroying our players hamstrings then I think the backroom team need to have a re-think and change the training methods
